Hated: The AFL has lost the plot and should've overturned the Crows V Swans result. They do all these wonderful things like the Gather round, Indigenous round, Pink Lady round etc, but when it comes to something like the integrity of its own competition it fails miserably.
And how do you propose they do that?

Do they then backtrack through all the other dubious umpiring calls that had occurred both ways in the game, like in every game?

Yep. It should've been overturned with the Crows declared the winners. The Goal Umpire was not the only one at fault, the field umpires were negligent also. It's the worst decision in football history, but like a footballer getting king hit outside a pub, fans don't care.
Stop the game and turn the clock back? Sure.
Arbitrarily award the 4 points based on a knee-jerk reaction after everyone’s gone home? Don’t be ridiculous.

Liked. Eagles fight. GWS banner.
Learnt. Bombers no where near it.
Hated. Playing at Marvel. In front of 40k. Would of loved for that game to be at the G. Regardless if it changed the result.

If the stupid suggestion of awarding the Crows the game happens I look forward to retrospectively beating West Coast in that Elimination Final when the AFL came out and said Schuey ducked and should not have got a free.

It was fun to watch in a season where not much was fun to watch for us ☺️
I also like how we upset the finals applecart haha. Still relevant 😛

Liked - Fantastic WCE win, the Weekly GWS marketing crew offerings are always witty and on point.

Learnt - the Crows may have a point.

Hated - the bashing of Jack Ziebel by three cowards. (highlights the horrors of other folk who get randomly assaulted)

Learnt: according to the AFL media, finishing top and only losing 5 for the year isn't good enough, we needed to spud it up throughout the year and only play well in the last 4 weeks because history says so. Collingwood are held to a higher standard than any other side in ******* existence.
Ummmmm... How is it holding Collingwood to a higher standard to point out that no premier in the last 10 years has lost more than 2 games in the last 5 weeks of the season? The media would be saying the same thing about literally any other team in the same situation.

10 years of empirical evidence is pretty solid I would have thought.

That's not what anyone is saying.
Not sure why so many Pies supporters are offended or failing to comprehend it.
It's a simple historical fact that the last 10 flag winners have carried better form into finals than what the Pies are currently showing.
That's it.
Doesn't mean you aren't still one of the best sides in the comp, or one of the favourites for the flag. Doesn't mean you can't win it. It just means that you will have to buck a recent trend to do it.

Season 6 What GIF by The Office

Hardly going to award games based on gut feel.
You might as well give the 4 points to whomever was favourite with the bookies at the time a bad decision was made.

There's been a couple of games this year where teams have been over run in the last qtr, gone down with a minute to go, then won the game in the last minute. Port Adel v Essendon for one.
True wasn't say change the result but it was heading that way
