Will be gone within 12 months I would think. AFL can't afford the Suns to flounder - particularly with the NRL determined to make the Titans credible so they can sell them (see Jarryd Hayne being parachuted in). Cochrane is damaging their brand in numerous ways.

I actually dont think Tony comes across as that silly. As he stated "the Hawks have chosen a bad year to attempt to trade with us for draft picks".

There will be limited time left to bring any players in and that is if they can find any who want to go to the GC. The message to raiders (us) that if you want a player you better have the desired currency.

Now lets use pick 10 and put a price on his head and pray he gets to us in the draft. Not guaranteed but should be doable.

If we price him out of the market, why use pick 10? Just use pick 88.

A trade for omeara has to get done even if we end up losing another player. Hawks cant take the risk in the Draft. "if' we then didnt get Omeara in the draft we have a $1.5mill hole in the salary cap and you have to pay 95%- so around $550-$600k less. Thats $1 mill lost unless they change a number of contracts and front load existing players- when is the cut off for this to occur- would have to be after the draft?

Yeah, but that Lewis trade was ridiculous when looked at in isolation. Also, the Tiges are happy to retain Lids if a satisfactory trade isn't struck, and Lids is (presumably) happy to go interstate.

If you had've managed to Lewis to agree to go to the Suns, he'd effectively have been valued at a mid to late teens pick right?
