I'm cynical, but I'm not that cynical.Agree BUT what would be the point of flipping him out if we are just going to drop another one of this insula boys club puppets in the spot again? Sh!t still smells the same whether you scratch it or if you dont!
Not disagreeing completely. But if Geelong were on the bottom of the ladder I don't think that would be a factor then, I think playing finals etc means far more to most players these days; the Tigers are succesfull in attracting players for the same reason. The Pies similar after the season they had.Geelong is also a much better place to live these days, plenty of people would relocate down the Bellarine if they could do the exact same job down there I'm sure.
Most players would live around Torquay/Barwon Heads etc so it is a huge drawcard to live and play footy down there. Country lifestyle so close to the city and good beaches, it's a no brainer for footballers to be honest (and that's not even taking into account how well the football club is run).I think the Geelong lifestyle is way overplayed. If the Cats were bottom 4 for 20 years running no one would look at it. But they are a well run club that have been successful the last 20+ years with very few low spots. Thats the big draw card plus they have habbit of developing players well that could be appealing to him, Geelong IMO isn't far enough from Melb for that to be a real factor as much as some make it out.
My pick is he wil chose the cats

Not saying its not an issue, just I think its overplayed, players could easily live regioinal and not be too far from Tulla.
As I said not saying its not a factor. Just that a well run club playing finals etc is a bigger drawcard for most IMO, the Tigers have been successful in getting players to nominate them, Tarintino, Lynch, Hopper wants in if a deal can be made. well run club that is very successful on the field. Become that a lot of the other issues take care of themselves. Most players would live around Torquay/Barwon Heads etc so it is a huge drawcard to live and play footy down there. Alternatively they can head West and live on a farm as Hawkins and Cameron do.Most players would live around Torquay/Barwon Heads etc so it is a huge drawcard to live and play footy down there. Re farmlife, Tulla probably makes that an option within an hour you can be in a regional Vic and still be close enough for training etc.Alternatively they can head West and live on a farm as Hawkins and Cameron do.
It’s absolutely a factor for country boys who don’t enjoy the big smoke.

Yep. If success on the field if there, and the club is well run most of this stuff takes care of itself. Thats the big drawcard for most of the top players. Lifestufe, I have no doubt comes into it just often plays second fiddleZaka was on acreage at Diamond Creek in the latter part of his playing days and TBC and Daniher were up in Daylesford for parts of 2020 I think it was.
Should be a selling point if it’s not already
He’s more chance to go to hawthorn than us … if he doesn’t select GeelongIf Bowes seriously wants to play for Essendon - given what an absolute shitshow we currently are - I'd have big concerns about trading for him. Clearly wouldn't be in the right headspace.
No. We do have wind though.we are leaving our run late to win trade week - do we have the wind in the last?
That's Richmond though...
