Treloar and Grundy were going up in Price Hobbs and Parish are not if anything Parishes value has diminished

Sounds like a messiah complex with one player it wont work out well our list has holes holes we should be looking at covering with our three potential first rounders

This will set the club back if it fails massively we dont need Reid we need more talent around the ground and we have a massive chance to bring in talent in an influx before a compromised set of drafts

Weve seen many clubs offer up those picks for just a low number pick in the draft before we see the player aswell. Even to us for our Tsatas pick

Id feel better if i had more confidence in Cox, Perko, Hobbs and Tsatas and that Tassy wernt coming

Would people feel better if we managed to land say pick 19 for Draper

I think its a wait and see scenario if our younger players step up it should certainly be a watch

But i would still like us to bring in some more talent at the end of the year and wouldnt want us removing that opportunity by trading all of our assets on Reid

if we did the trade example that was posted earlier out two firsts for him we can still keep a draft hand and fill our holes and i would be a lot less cautious as we can keep the two second rounders or package them up to GCS or the Swans for a first rounder due to their NGA players

Not against going after Reid but I am slightly in favour of using the picks at this stage and going to the draft for the next couple of years before Tasmania enters the draft. Reid will not fix 3 or 4 spots.

Yep could decided to keep your pick 5-6 and end of with a Dylan Stephens or Denver grainger-brass. Hell a tsatas, who there is no guarantee he’ll make make it either. If Harley wants to come you make the deal.

Could also end up with a Caddy or Kako. Reid could come and do a knee and we need to turn over more players but we do not have the top end picks and then we run into the Tasmanian drafts. All eggs in one basket has risk as well.

But it’s 3 1st rounders for a pick 1 (and a standout pick 1), that’s the price every day of the week. To get a player like Harley through the door is a rare thing, because usually when drafted to a club , that club rarely lets them go. Yes you might be giving up 3 picks, but one was a bonus pick, we literally moved that forward because kako fell into our arms. But I’d rather have Reid over 3 picks later in the 1st round.

And yes you can force players out of your club, look what collingwood did with treloar and Grundy.

There's every chance our 1st pick could be around 3 or 4 this year and there's plenty of delicious sounding midfielders that aren't Harley Reid and we've still got a good pick for another KPF.

Still need a good KPF desperately man if Draper works out great but its evident that 2MP was a flash in the pan

Yeh definitely as I said in a previous comment, I’d be assessing how a young talent goes this season before deciding, to really see how many holes we still think we have to fill through the draft. Plus we will get Koby bewick in the main tassie draft so I would not be as worried about, making a move for Reid if he wants to come. If Reid wants to come we have to make the deal.
