Hopefully we are looking into blokes from other clubs like Konstanty (syd), Richards (coll) - young, fast, good finishers.
Problem is to look into these guys you need to trade for them. This year we basically have two tradeable picks. We are not really in a spot to be trading for anyone unless we start trading away next years picks and then we end up in the same spot again.

Richards, yes agreed.

There was an update on Konstanty the other day though, I think from his manager, that suggested he was borderline on whether he’d be offered a contract at Sydney at all, and that he hadn’t to this point. He could be a token pick type of trade.

Yep. I reckon Konstantly would be a good pickup for a future pick. Maybe even try and snag some more points this year for Kako.

Something like

Konstantly and their 3rd this year (54-56) for our future third next year (likely around 40-44)

Problem is we do not have any token picks either for this year.

Can't comprehend keeping Weid. He can't play AFL-standard footy. Forward, back, anywhere. Looks good in the VFL: great, let's sign him to our VFL squad.
He was fine in defense in his AFL appearance at the end of the year. There's no issue keeping him on for a year until we have more confidence in Hayes and Reid holding down spots in the senior side.

We could potentially lose all of Laverde, Stringer, Hobbs, Tsatas and Shiel for very little in return.

None of those would be a guaranteed 1st rounder on current output and other factors.
All of those players are contracted - you don't trade them if you don't like the deal. The good news, is you now get to relax and worry about other things happening in the world. I will also relax.

Are you saying that the state of US politics and the Middle East is less anxiety inducing than the state of our list management? o_O

Goldy staying for another year - Twomey
I don’t think it’s a bad thing in fact I think it’s positive for Bryan, Draper, Visentini and even Wright. I presume he’s cheap and his experience and professionalism (he’s got himself right for over 320 games) is invaluable. There’s the argument he could bestow that experience from the sidelines but I think the combination of on and off field is ideal.

Certainly not a bad thing

Also with the subrule possible going and it being a 5th rotation i think you will see Wright Draper and Bryan all in the lineup with one on the bench at all times that will swap

This is the only way i can see it work there is no way Bryan plays VFL again but it sounds like we want to keep Wright

Wouldn't mind this, although he'd technically be on our list and thus bump the average age up. Would have to take that in account on analysis.
Who cares about average age, as long he's adding value by being on the list. In Goldy's case adding value is (should be) imparting professionalism on the group as a whole, provide break glass ruck depth and coach/mentor the rest of the rucks.

If he's not adding value then it's a dumb appointment though.
