Is Harley a guarantee though?

Someone more educated than us said Harley could end uup like Jake Stringer or Dusty Martin at the moment. That's a fair gap and one im not prepared to sell my soul for

In terms of football skills I’d say Reid is a 100% certainty. He has proven at AFL level to be a powerful explosive player who can be highly effective in both contested and uncontested situations in every area of the ground.

The doubts about Harley are purely related to his attitude/professionalism with a dash of injury risk that follows everyone who plays the game. Where as with a top 5 pick you have about a 33% chance they become an elite game changing footballer.

If you back in your environment/club to be able to help develop him into a person with professional habits (and he doesn’t get hurt) it’s a statistically justifiable choice based on average outcomes.

Reid efforts this year are pretty average

I know it's west coast but a worrying sign.

Think I'd take the 2 or 3 top tens. Could be 2 x top 5.

Rowell, good solid citizen. Oliver tried to engage him physically and verbally.yesterday and Rowell just laughed at him, and burnt him off. Reid just wants to win the push and shove, his team is shit and he's just following suit.
Rowell by a mile, if we can wrangle it.
Rowell,adult. Reid,child.

Yes yes, but why would Rowell leave?

I'll say this all year, let RFK & Rosa play 4D chess while everyone else play checkers

  • Essendon finish bottom 4, Melbourne finish bottom 2
  • Essendon let Draper leave and gain band 1 compensation
  • Essendo could hold pick 2 (Melbourne), pick 4 (Essendon first), pick 5 (Draper compensation)

- Essendon take Cooper Duff-Tytler (pick 2), Willem Duursma (pick 4), Noah Hibbins Hargreaves (pick 5)

Add to that those 2 x second rounders (Essendon's & St Kilda's), and looking increasingly likely more than 1 Category B rookie could be available (El-Achkar, Adam Sweid, Alex Alessio possible as a Cat B father/son?)

turbo charge this rebuild

Scream it louder please!

Also Alijah Davey is in this years draft as F/S

This is just straight facts by you Yoda

He's OOC and met with a few clubs over the off-season.

If GCS have a successful year there's plenty of reasons for him to stay up north, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that he'll leave with a compelling offer.
We ain’t giving up multiple firsts for a player like rowell, it just ain’t happening. Rowell is a good player but let’s remember he hasn’t actually done a lot in his career to warrant it. Doesn’t have the body of work that you would give up huge assets for.

to be fair players rarely get traded based on the body of work they have done but rather the possibility of what they could do.

If players were traded on what they have done, Harley Reid would be getting traded for a half-eaten blueberry muffin.......from coles, not a fancy cafe one

Ok, but that wasn't the question I responded to.

If Rowell gets traded, he's absolutely commanding multiple first rounders.

How far off is he defensively?
Asking because in McGrath we've got a defender who is a bumbling attacker.
From what I’ve seen of seh as a defender, which isn’t a whole lot admittedly. But he looks as if not more panicked than McGrath with ball in hand, slams in on the boot as soon as he gets it. I’d much rather see if he can be another quick pressure small forward, who can also take a grab.
