This isnt necessarily true. Its about who breaks first, Geelong holding out for that sweetner, us holding out for nothing on top of 22. If we are comfortable walking away I'm positive Geelong break come the last 30 minutes of trade week, they arent going to hold Clark over a F3 when 22 is more than enough as it is.

Yeah but Geelong seeing what they have may be holding up their other trades, they have done nothing so far and need to figure out the Ceglar and Fort trades, then possibly consolidate some picks depending on how many they are taking.

I reckon they are arguing behind the scenes on minor details but it looks like it'll be 22 and something, we must be fighting to get something back otherwise the cupboard is bare next year

I have a feeling unless we pull a rabbit out of the hat next week, losing Lobb and Cerra is going to absolutely fu** us.

We have struggled when one of Tabs or Lobb has been out injured, which is often. Now we will only have Tabs, who never makes it through a full season.

What the actual fu** are we going to do with our forward line.

Cox has to go back forward or Meek needs to make a huge jump this off-season so Darcy can spend 60% of his time forward.

I hope they give up on Clarke. He is not worth a second round pick in this draft, or any thing more. Lets just wait a year and see what happens. He is not going to be the difference that takes our team to the promised land.

Any young player who fits into your best 22 is worth a 2nd rounder I suspect.

Exactly this. IMO we're in a win win position. Pick 22 is a great pick and I would be very happy to use on Williams/Motlop/[insert slider]. We've demonstrated that we've done everything we can to facilitate an appropriate trade for Clark.

Additionally, we're a better team with Lobb and he is important to our structure over the coming years (I want us to be competitive). We only let him go if it's a great offer (for example pick 13 or a pick 19 to 13 upgrade and future second).

We may accept Geelong F4 for Carlton F3. Material chance they implode anyway and the picks aren't far apart.

How many list spots have Geelong got to fill? I note that they have no picks after 41 until the 6th round. 69 (rather than 61 hopefully) could be in play.

Clark is 20 mate. Not a stop gap. If we’re a chance of a premiership within 10 years he may play a part.

Omeara is 28 start of next season. Are we winning a flag within 3 years? I mean maybe but I doubt it.
