I thought this was a decent concept until I read the detail.

Sheedy not Victorian coach - didn't have too many wins. Give it to Billy Goggin. Dream-Team coach for mine would be either John Todd, Graham Cornes or Robert Shaw

mate as i said i am always reluctant to bring up, and often think way to much is made of certain issues re SA/WA being shafted by the AFL but this whole dream team deal and now this has been to much and the arrogance has been shown here with this concept to go way further than it being "unworkable" to have a proper SOO concept this year. As i have stated before, I would have preferred it was Vic V WA this year than the bullshit they are dishing up.

I'm South Australian and i know who the greats are of SA footy. I don't know in detail who was tearing it up in the WAFL or Tasmainian leauge in 1983.
So how the hell do they expect us to come up with a reasonable team. Depending on if you are a a south or west aussie or a tasweigan you are going to have a side dominated by the players you know + a couple of the stars you "heard about" back in the day from interstate.
And why the hell can we not pick our all time SOO team. It's not like the AFL have to worry about having another weekend off mid season to play the bloody game
Usually i am very weary of jumping up and down as it just causes the vics to scream inferiority complex. And often i think my fellow south aussies over react but this whole dream team thing this year has really ____ed me off. And this is just rubbing Vlad ____ into the wound
How many West aussies would be putting Peter Carey in their dream team? Or consider Gary Macintosh?

I was thinking "wow, they are actually going to honour SA and WA a bit this weekend." Then I read the thread. Vomit worthy.
We should just have an SA v WA game each year, and let the Vics play a city v country match because the game doesn't exist outside Victoria.

Yeah, I know, but that's what the website asked for so I did it. I want SOO. I love SOO and I think it's ridiculous that quality players from SA and WA don't get to play for their state. Those two teams could easily beat Victoria, as could NSW on the right night. But I'm just doing what the website and OP said to do. Don't know why you singled me out.

Probably not, Billy Goggin didn't rate Daicos.
In 1990 Victoria played three games, losing the first two to NSW and Tasmania. Daicos nowhere to be seen, he eventually gets included for the last game vs WA which the Vics win, and he spends 3.5 quarters on the bench.
Remember this is the year he slotted a lazy 97 from the pocket so you can't say he wasn't exactly in form.
