As suspected, they ignored the best full back in the league over someone who is more flashy in the AA team.

Congrats to Erin, Chelsea, Stevie-Lee, Ebony and Anne for making the team. Foley also didn't make the team as they went with Lauren Pearce from Melbourne who didn't feature at all in the league stats for rucking, while Foley did. (see twitter pic link below)

Boooooo

Well, I mean Pearce did average 19.9 hitouts per game. Foley only averaged 19.8 hitouts per game, so you can see why they had to go with Pearce.

Congrats to our AA girls, and our co-captains claiming the leadership duties for the whole team. Thoroughly deserved.

As for Erin, what else could you expect? She was unbelievable all season long.

Is there a clip of her acceptance speech somewhere? I didn't get to watch it.

It’s definitely bullshit but you could see it from a mile away that the 10-person Victorian based selection panel has a specific agenda over these fledgling years to reward the masses especially the Victorian clubs and 5 Crows players was the maximum they were going to select as they needed to fit other teams players in as everyone needs to be apparently rewarded as encouragement.

The All-Australian selections the past 2 years specifically are just too head scratching for it to be anything other than political and influenced by quota selections. It’s yet another unfair injustice on this competition that the best players aren’t actually being selected in the team of the year and ridiculously Sarah Allan (2 years in a row) and Jess Foley miss out just because a number of their teammates filled other positions.

Last night, pretty much every single one of the awards could have arguably gone to Crows girls. There was no way that was going to be allowed.

We beat the supposedly-second-best-team-in-the-comp by basically 7 goals.

What's the stat, we haven't had a goal kicked on us in normal play for how long? And we've kicked 35 goals in the meantime?

We're surely odds-on to take it out next year, with or without Flip. Preferably with, i'd love to see her with more medals.

And she gave up a head coaching role in the WNBA to keep playing!

Only counting 4 Crows in that team (cannot see Anne Hatchard?). Seriously, 4, in a team that destroyed the comp. Wow.

Erin Phillips getting 19 out of 21 votes is just ridiculously good. I'd love to know if an AFL player has ever managed to get 5 BOGs and 2 second-BOGs in a 7 game stretch. Add in the PF where she would have gone close to BOG and the GF where she was BOG and that's at least 6 BOGs and 2 second-BOGs in a 9 game stretch. If that's not a complete and utter domination of a comp, I don't know what else you'd call it.

If you click on the photo in the tweet, then it shows Anne on the bench. Even only having 5 in the team that destroyed the comp and putting Pearce in the AA team when she was well and truly beaten by Foley in that game... Yeah, right. There is also a North supporter who is still complaining about EJ being in the AA squad. You know, second in the comp for score assists and high up for defensive pressure and hitting the scoreboard as a 'small forward', yeah totally not good enough to be in the AA squad. Some people just can't football.
