I was just looking at team values, 3 of the four top teams have values over $19m, the guy in 3rd has $19.5m, makes my $18m look pretty weak in comparison, so yeah, maybe in the same boat as yours

Those top teams are probably gone. $18M is well ahead of me and a lot of the teams in the top 100. There's one person with a team below $17M in there right now.
I think my path to a hat is keep the top of my team going strong and hope for some spike scores at the bottom. If you're getting cash gen from your bench, that gives you a bit more flexibility, but we're all probably in the position of needing a lot of luck.

A big one for any O'Dowd owners to watch, Fleur Davies has been named in the GWS extended squad for the first time this season, after being completely MIA up until now. Hadn't even seen her in training up until this week.
Not sure what went on there, was never listed as an injury, just vanished, and I'm doubtful she starts in the ruck over O'Dowd, if anything she may just replace Doyle's role as backup. But yeah, might be a close watch there for owners.

Going to likely trade O'Dowd next week depending how she goes.
Of course another DGW player in Brennan is out injured after copping Davey and Hosking last week out for their second game (and someone else I have already erased from my mind).
Been an absolute disastrous few weeks following Huntington a late out with no cover, copping a zero and Bonicci getting injured the week after I trade her in, all on top of that.
Towel just about thrown in. Injuries way too prevalent, and last minute team changes a killer if you don’t have your ear to the ground at all times. Hectic.

I'm ranked around the 3000 mark if it makes you feel any better. I've definitely made more bad moves than good.

Some have copped more than their fair share of bad luck, sounds like your one. Hope you didn't start with Toogood, trade her to Sherriff then cop Tighe, I know of a few that have.
So basically before tonights game you can see if you have more or less DGW players this week compared to others based on your rank climbing/dropping.
Looks like this is my bad week as ive gone from 600 to 1200. But also could be because i went Garner over Riddell, kinda had to, to field someone reasonable at d5 (Hendrie) so not all that bad but thought id have a gain.

Such a fluke!
Got lucky with starting Marinoff, Strom and pivoting Bowers to Swanson with that last minute out, then moving Swanson immediately for Garner. My 1 and only hat in any AFL/AFLW fantasy. I don't expect to ever get close again, because I'm really not that good at this game.
I think having the C on Riddell would have made a bucketload of difference

Finished in the 2K's last year when I had no idea how to even look at the game and just bought my favourite players. Now I've put effort into learning it, I'm almost twice as bad somehow.
The only way I'm ever getting a hat is by putting a brick through a window at AFL House.
