Although she wasn't great tonight, I'd like to see us target Georgia Gee at some stage over the next couple of seasons. I think we could do with a speedy small in the forward line and Gee is so clean below her knees and generally a good kick. She's still only 21. I think in time she could end up being one of the best smalls in the league.

I think if Elisha King gets a decent run with injury she will fill that role, but Gee would be a good pick up.

I thought Georgiastathos (?) had a great game. She’s small and had a couple of obvious clangers, but she goes hard and has great game sense.

Unbelievable. Take the point that they finished last season strongly and then added O’Dea, but there is no way they should have leapfrogged Freo and North in the predictions. Maybe there is some residual sentiment from their conference GF appearance that makes some people think they were close to the best that season?

Yes that's right, they finished on top of their conference but they had the 5th best record that year despite playing a lot of very ordinary teams.

We were pretty bad that quarter and the Saints were quite good. I thought they deserved a second goal tbh. Love watching Patrikios for them.

A couple of times when we had opportunities going forward we blazed away, and it was players from whom you expect better in Riddell and Garner. They had more time and space than they thought and needed to be better.

I hope the message is to try to use Ashmore more. She's in acres of space so often and we're not composed enough to find her. I think if we can get the ball to the outside more and use our skills, like we did in the first quarter, we will be fine.

Bruton and Kearney our best so far. Think Garner and King especially need to lift.
