Play isn't over until the umpire signals.

Can't believe we end that half in front! Thoroughly outplayed in the first quarter, finally got some play our way midway through the second.

Thank goodness for Jones, she's come to play. I thought Goodwin was good early. Biddell and Allan standing up down back. Randall is here to play but is like an over-excited dog, she could run through a wall but the brain is still 10m behind her.

Take the half time lead and come out firing in Q3, that's our quarter normally!

That's wrong, it's over when an umpire hears it.

Heroics of Randall and EJ kept the Crows in that. Randall has been unbelievable.

They still include fantasy stats that are directly after siren because delay between siren going off and umpire calling it is a split second.

Unless it's a score no one ever knows when an umpire has heard it so it's impossible to accurately keep the stats there. When it's a score, the umpires have to give all clear, so it's known.

I'd imagine they do that for fantasy games because it's the only way to have a consistent objective measure.

"The end of a quarter occurs when any field Umpire or emergency Umpire first hears the siren sounded by the Timekeepers to signal the end of a quarter. The field Umpire shall acknowledge the siren and bring play to an end by blowing a whistle and holding both arms above their head."
