I think you missed my point, which was that Franklin might have kicked 6 rather than 4. Got right in his face and I think nullified him to a large extent. One-on-one Tarrant wasn't that badly scored against.

Tarrant has always matched up well on Buddy, he's held him relatively well without using these tactics.

For buddy, I think the niggle was a help, not a hindrance.

Still, good to watch

Any player other than Puopolo, then it would not even be discussed. It is unfortunate that he is so short. I'll even go as far as to say that Puopolo instigated the contact seeing as it was him who changed direction so suddenly.

Steady on, Puopolo had no idea that hit was coming.

Maxwell was unlucky, simple. He checked a player who happens to be a midget and has been punished for it. I feel for the guy, I dont think hes a dirty player.

But Pop instigated it? Get your hand off it.

Taz has lost a yard and his mobility isnt what it was either. I've got no doubt his tactics were part of a plan to get Buddy into a wrestle and not let him roam far and wide. It worked as well, I've never seen Buddy less inclined to run around as much, he seemed happy to initiate any contact he could and that wasnt just with Tarrant either.
Solid plan, probaby got a 7/10 in the finish IMO.

Yeah, I agree with this. Pop did not instigate it.

Just throwing up a possible point of contention. Doesn't matter now. But if they did challenge this at the tribunal, why not go in with the argument that as a defender, you follow your man and not necessarily the ball and in this instance, it's Puopolo who changes direction and subsequently runs into Maxwell. It's a point of contention, and unlikely to succeed, but one that could be argued.

You're right, it is unfortunate. I don't like the fact that unfortunate incidents are being adjudicated on. Sometimes shit happens and we're asking too much of a player under this 'duty of care' business.

Roughead, on the other hand, was off the ball, from behind, unexpected and clearly pre-meditated. If we're rating them on impact, then you might have an argument, but in terms of an 'act' Roughead's was worse.
I cannot see how you think Roughead's was worse. He pushed Dawes in the chest and Dawes went down like he was shot, Puopolo has a broken nose from Maxwell's hit and the thing is Maxwell knew he was there just as much as Roughead knew Dawes was there.

Like i already said though i don't think either deserved any suspension.

If you watch it closely Roughead actually punches him in the stomach.

But I didn't think he should have gone for it. Maxwell definitely deserved 1-2.

The stupidest thing about Maxwell's hit was choosing do to it on the worst player on the ground. If your going to hit someone let it be Mitchell or Buddy, not Puopolo lol

Eh, you're right. I'm sorry.
