Just on those comparing the situation with Essendon's, it's worth keeping in mind that there is a rather large difference (well, der) between one player allegedly taking a banned substance, and the possibility that multiple players or an entire team took something banned.

I don't just mean in terms of the scale of wrongdoing, I also mean in terms of the supporters' reaction. The prospect of losing one player to a ban, as bad as it would be, is quite different to potentially losing eight players, or half a team, or a whole team.

Anyway, as said, I hope this isn't true, for the players' sake, and for the sake of St Kilda's fans and the club.

I wanted to take a quick moment to applaud the St Kilda fans for their approach to this. It is surprising, and refreshing to see a team's supporters not sway on their principles and integrity because it is their team in the gun.

If you don't want banned substances in our game, then don't change your opinion if your team is the one that crosses the line!
