Not enough story getting put in at the half way point, but regardless - a very enjoyable episode.

Last 30 seconds - whoa. Feels.

Anakin and Ahsoka's sibling like relationship was the emotional hook about Clone Wars.

Love that Hayden is having this run with Anakin now, and hopefully look on SW fondly.

Worlds Between Worlds?

Lot of possibilities now. Looks like Hayden de-aged too, so assuming it's Anakin before turning. The tool is there to retcon a tonne now although I couldn't see Disney being that ballsy.

If Ezra and Luke are the same age, then that guy at the end looks too young. I doubt they are introducing time travel.

Makes me think it could be a dream sequence.

Uh, that 'guy' wasn't Ezra..

I saw a comment, can't remember if it was here or somewhere else, that the pacing is very odd in this show. It's as if Filoni thinks things being slow adds tension and drama and isn't just, well, slow. In both lightsaber battles there were weirdly long pauses that were meant to add tension but just felt weird.

As someone else said, we're now halfway through this show with almost zero storytelling and just a few action set pieces to keep people interested. It's as if they had a 3 episode plot arc and drew it out over 8 episodes.

Throwing Anakin in at the end was such a cheap gimmick too.

Really enjoyed that, great stuff. The duels during the middle part, yes please. Score was on point too. So much for my Marrok theory haha.

And that ending, outstanding. World between worlds looks great in live action as does The Ghost.

Then not quite clear on your question about 'the guy at the end'.

Was avoiding mentioning Anakin's name, but others have now done that outside spoilers.

He looked too young to be the father of someone Ezra's age.

Yes I know he's not Ezra's father, if thats your next uh moment.

Was me about the halfway point. The structure of the season still feels like it's straight out of the MCU TV playbook.

This series should have been a full blown love letter to Rebels/Clone Wars. I get the feeling Filoni has been asked to bring new viewers in while keeping the old ones happy. But then you get a very broad story like we're getting at the moment.

Either make new content or on relatively new characters (Andor) or just go all in on Rebels/Clone Wars and everyone else can suck it up and watch the shows which they should have access to via D+ anyway.

RE: battle pauses - when Sabine and Shin stopped to look at Ahsoka - was very odd and almost pro wrestling-esque when someones music hits.....a reaction that would never happen in a fight/battle.

I'm always a sucker for nostalgia and cliffhangers, but wish they gave more if they were going to have a hook for the next episode.

The episode in isolation was enjoyable. Camera shots/music/tone were great and the dialogue was good. The show is much better for having Stevenson around.

It was World Between Worlds, it's the same vibe as seeing him as a Force Ghost. He appears as he was. Just like at the end of Episode 6. Remember, he's dead. ;)

Yeah doesn't really make sense he's there with all his limbs. I'm thinking it's a dream sequence of the World Between Worlds.

I mean, they did show Ahsoka asleep, unconscious whatever.

It is a dream sequence, that's exactly what the World Between Worlds is. Again, it's no different to seeing him as a Force ghost in ROTJ. He's a ghost, he's able to have all his limbs.

He's not dead yet. Pretty sure this is somewhere between episodes 3 and 4. He dies in episode 6.

Huh? This show is set after Episode 6. It's set at the same time as The Mandalorian. That X-Wing pilot Carson is in The Mandalorian.
