I'm sure KIA34 has a source but I suspect these things always get a dollop of mayo added with every telling by each person who passes the story down the chain. I'm not sure how far KIA34's source is from the only person who actually knows what's going on but every post we read seems to have had 2-3 spoonfuls of mayo at a minimum.

Media kept reporting that the club was confident too. Playing with definitions doesn’t change the fact that the club has spent two months talking to one option and one only. That supports the story that they have felt they didn’t need to look wider.

The only thing the only person at the club who matters on this has said is that she was "comfortable" with where we were ... last Wednesday I think it was.
