So you're saying the PTA has not been disbanded?

Patience people

I won't deny that I'm borderline hysterical at the moment, but you have to admit the odds are in our favour for once. Clarko has a history with us, none with them. They're a club in serious turmoil at the moment, more than us, despite our respective ladder positions. We've been in talks with him for a month, them for a day. Clarko has publicly said he'd coach us and hasn't said any such thing about them. Our young blokes are as good as Essendon's, even if their 24-28 range of players is stronger than ours. He was allegedly in Adelaide on the weekend, and that trip sure as hell wasn't to watch Essendon. It might end up that they get him, but gee whiz, it'd be the steal of the century if they did. The evidence is still in our favour

I post in good faith.

For what its worth, only source I have been able to contact said - relax, Clarko is a done deal at NM. Hope he is right.

He wasn’t in Adelaide.

Dwayne Russell asked Nathan Jones for his thoughts re today’s * rumblings and Clarko’s next move:

Dickhead: “Alastair Clarkson, if he’s choosing which of the three coaching jobs to take on between North, GWS and Essendon, who would he choose in your opinion?”

Before Jones can reply DR adds “*Essendon surely, right?”

To Jones’ credit, and to Russell’s amazement, he responded with:

“Errrrrrrrrr, I’ve actually really liked what I’ve seen from North Melbourne in the past month………”

FU Dwayne.

Besides which, from a football point of view, GWS is actually a reasonable option too if you're a head coach with clout. Stop the exits, players stay on for their worth rather than needing a mil a year each, you've got Hogan building into his career best, got Taylor and Himmelberg as a KD duo, swathe of draft picks with Taranto/Hopper/Bruhn leaving so you get a decent say in the type of player you want, and a desire from the AFL for you to succeed.

The worst parts of GWS have been their coaching and players desire to leave (or stay on inflated contracts). Clarkson would fix both straight up.

He's probably working or some BS.
Kia is gone guys , face it we been dudded totally. I am 53 year old ffs and feel like I could either spew or cry or both at anytime over this.
It’s not the name of Clarkson as such that shatters me losing . It’s just the repeated kicks we get , nothing funny about this guys . Seriously how do we ever regain relevance and credibility again? I have fears that I haven’t felt previously, we can’t attract players or now it seems coaches, pretty soon we are going to start to lose players then the death spiral begins. So forgive my pessimism guys but we got to see this for what it is

Mate of course he his, IF Essington wanted Clarko they could have signed a heads of agreement and let Rutten coach out the year.

Al is meticulous, so no chance he'd sign with them now and he wouldn't have wasted our time if so.
