Fantastic result - great to see some loyalty from Clarko. What did we expect, he is all about respect.

So pleased Essendon didn't buy their way out of trouble again ... screwing around Rutten in the meantime. Hope they end up with Hird and years of empty promises.

Hopefully you keep JHF now and build back to the finals. Reckon the Crows will be fighting with you on the way up the ladder like the good 'ol days - we both need to pull our socks up and get that next cup in the cabinet.

Looking forward to our rivalry growing and some finals match ups in the years to come :)

I know it's a bit tiresome to keep mentioning him, but I can't help but picture Tef's face when clarko said that.

If you want to pinpoint the moment when Clarko lost the support of old mate, then that was probably it.

Can’t wait, I’d say the player are as happy as we all are… also be interested to see what he learnt from his time in the states

Horace I want to contribute to your excellent thread comparing Clarko's appointment with the Barassi appointment (but I can't remember how to navigate around the Board). When I find it I will add my recollections. All I can say that's relevant to this thread is that I expect Clarko to dial up the standards during the games and at training. Our base minimum acceptable standards (fitness, skills, everything) will be higher is my guess. That's what Barassi did. He knew that your Blights and your Greigs and your Schimmas could be brilliant at times but even they had to operate from a higher base.
Oh my goodness me. Mr R! Welcome back!

Told you all he was only paying lip service to *.

It was very interesting to have Clarko confirm a lot of stuff that was theorised in here, i.e- * were way too late with their push to get him, and he was thoroughly unimpressed with the way they did it, and the fact they were doing it when Truck was still coach and under pressure

I still can’t believe it. We actually did it.

Couldn’t make it to the game tomorrow initially but I’m working that out now, feels like tomorrow’s game is just gonna be nuts!
Just checked flights to Melbourne tomorrow.........cheaper for me to fly to Bali and hang out in a villa for a week!

Kingy said it well when he said Sonja has brought the North faithful back together. Welcome back Pharro, Mr R and Kimbo.

“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” - The Alchemist
If you want wisdom try Terry Pratchett.

Loves stupid running gags all the way thru the books he writes, especially Discworld ones. He had one book (I can't remember which one, read them all till you find would be my advice,) where the entire thing the running gag was "its a one in a million chance but it just might happen." Any time anyone in the book said that about any long shot they were relying on it came thru. At one point a character says it and then waits, expecting the comment to work like magic. Which of course it does.

Anyway back in early July in the first thread when it was still a bit of a joke I thought ti was worth typing that very comment and you know what? It worked.

LOL. Remember that when you need it one day.
