It didn’t - I’ve heard the abortion story from 2 different sources and it needs to be placed in context with the full story. Clarkson wasn’t even present when it was discussed.

It doesn't surprise me. It doesn't and has never sat well with me that Clarkson would say that. I know he's a hard man but it goes against everything he appears to believe in regarding unity. It's hard not to think that some of the draftees weren't living up to the professional standards required, and he let them know about it. I'll go to my grave never believing that he intentionally told someone to have an abortion. It's too out of character.

Its a professional organisation with HR, player managers, indigenous liaisons all involved.

I’m wondering if Clarko and Fagan are the types who keep diaries and if they made any notes re the relevant issues brought up by the disgruntled players/families.

Also wondering if there are any HR records…

Reading both the Hawthorn report and the emails to Newbold, well especially the emails to Newbold, it seems evident that it more likely didn't happen than did in how it is reported in the mainstream.

Even the player's agent went to pick up some of the players belongings to distance the player from his partner.

I wasn't commenting on whether it happened or not. Rather replying to somebody saying that they were happy for Clarko to continue at North even if it's proven he did everything alleged, which is ridiculous.

I hate that I'm even thinking it, but in this regard the fact their Indigenous Liaison of the time has connections with the formation of the Hawthorn Report , and an axe to grind, concerns me.

I never liked Bay 13 because I don’t come here for the hard banter, and the MB chat was a very different flavour of conversation across club lines which I enjoyed. Then the MB got more and more like Bay 13 and stopped being fun (and god knows what the Bay is like these days, if it is still the extreme version).

Honestly to me most of the Bay 13 stuff is so intentionally over the top and ridiculous that it just cycles back around to being funny again, whereas most of the stuff on the main board is just Gerard Whately-esque pontificating by people that take themselves too seriously.

Bay 13 was funny when the snide remarks were biting and educated. Some of our own posters were very good at it. But like most cesspits it devolved into stupidity and childish remark's, often by childish people and the more educated ones drifted away.

Sounds very realistic.

The title of the article being "he told me to kill my unborn kid" was the first thing I didn't believe. Seems very unlikely anyone would say that. It makes no sense.

I think you might be missing a key word here:

These faceless accusers did nothing then because nothing happened - sure you'd sit back and go, yeah I'll terminate my baby because my boss said so, but I'll only mention 10 years later........

These accusers are faceless for a reason.

"Proven"......hmmm, have you heard the conversation? Was it taped?

Very convenient hey, but sure, hang Clako (and Fagan) out to dry on "truth" when nothing near it exists outside nobody reporter looking for attention.
