This "saga" was one of the most manufactured bits of hysteria I've ever seen in sport. Literally no one cared except journalists - people that make a living being ambulance chasers. Which is impressive in itself because people will go out of their way to be outraged in modern society but not one was on this occasion.

It's disgusting it stretched over multiple days and became a bigger story than the hit itself. The conspiracy theorist in me believes the AFL have told their journos to amplify the Clarko stuff just to steer the conversation away from the bigger issue - concussions and their impact on the players.

I'm gobsmacked that Clarkson will be 20-25k out of pocket. As for Damo - what an imbecile "he's almost 56 years of age"

I'm embarrassed to follow this sport sometimes. The AFL: "players, supporters, and all staff please be robots...no passion or emotion or else"
