It currently is. No funding, no commitments except a vote 1 for Jay. I could be mistaken but it seems this election his re-election campaign has been promising building community things everywhere he goes so add ours to the pile of pre-election commitments and I'd be wary about being looked after in what I presume is a safe labor seat.

This is a lot different to playing in China, a lot.
Because playing in China is less ambitious?

You don't know that..we already have some federal funding locked in for a start. I don't believe they would have made such a big announcement if it was just pie in the sky stuff.

This is not pie in the sky.

Unless I’m mistaken only Labor & SA best have made promises to fund. Watch the bloody libs win.
The Libs will back he Aboriginal Centre of Excellence. The club has been talking to them about it for months. Remember it was the federal Libs that gave the club $4mil.

SA Best has promised $6m of the $7.5m pledge for that. Jay has pledged $8m for the precinct and whilst I haven't been able to find the split up of the $8mil anywhere, I reckon they have matched the $6mil.

The Libs might not offer monies for the other stuff.

Yeah right the club is infamous for outrageously ambitious announcements that never come to fruition, the whole playing in China thing for example.
or to play VFL football... am I doing this right? #SturtwoodDoublelegs

Confirmation that the Liberal Party will not commit funds to this project:
The Advertiser said:
Mr Lucas said the Liberals would not proceed with a number of policies promised by Labor if there was a change of government, including:

$1.3 billion to remove seven level crossings.

$530 million to build two new tram routes to Norwood and North Adelaide.

$70 million to provide laptops to high school students.

$8 million to support the Port Adelaide Football Club Alberton expansion.

Where do they put money then?

I'm guessing here, but the liberals will likely claim that there is no money.

I like how every or most SANFL clubs got upgrades to their facilities off the back of us having pre-season games at their shitholes but once it's our turn people start complaining. Also crows are not even a club so the money wouldn't go anywhere.

The crows got federal government funding for their West Lakes upgrade, something Trigg apparently asked Ellis not to mention in her speech at the unveiling.

I'm guessing they had to go through the SANFL first to give it the ok?

It is time for change - 16 years too long for one party to be in power - breeds corruption. So it is time to give the other side a go.
Maybe if they wernt full of members who have made a career of being in opasition making big bucks for achieving zero i might think about it.

With the likes ofLucas and Chapman i wouldnt go near them with a 10 foota.
