Edit - more photos in the last post of previous page of eastern side redevelopment. Taken Friday 22nd December.

Barman told me the oval was looking perfect a week earlier, before the players went on their break, and since then the council workers have aerated it and levelled it out with sand.

Hard to tell exactly where the top of the TV screen is in this photo, the top is higher than the top of the MG logo, but its as big as the original renders indicated, which is a pleasant surprise as renders tend to exaggerate.

The eastern side wing view will be very different, either just grass, or they will have pop up stalls and bouncy castle type set up for kids when Maggies games and W games are played at Alberton. And of course our preseason game against Freo.

It's pleasing to see new facilities not be built directly behind the goals which for some stupid reason is all the rage these days.

Missed a trick by not building a botique 25k seat stadium so we can host all the shite drawing teams.
We won’t get under 25k again, unless shot has gone VERY wrong.

I appreciate that sort of content but the "we're just a blue collar club we don't expect these sorts of things" line is more shocking nonsense, "we're poor but have good facilities lol weird" is what our players are told to say to shape our brand. we don't expect a nice locker room because we're a "blue collar club"?

Somebody has to lose have the worst facilities.

Looking at ‘blue collar’ homes and mancaves it should be the other way around!

Yeah, a bit girly there from Ollie.

That is damning

So out many out clauses have been driven into them by Koch and co

It's no wonder they buckle under the slightest whiff of pressure

Also hated the whole “come into work” and “do our jobs” spiel.
We are just another soulless franchise…..

Geez! Stop with all the bedwetting! It is a tad embarrassing!

Fact ... Port IS a working-class club, not a rich club with oodles of cash to splash.
Football IS a job, a career they have devoted their lives to!
They DO come into a workplace each day, so it is nice to have half-decent facilities.

Our BOD is a divided mess! Our head-coach a meme! And our supporter base is splintered! Let's focus our energies on what really matters!

What's that then? Because you need to fix all those things you mentioned to win footy (if thats what you mean), which one should we focus all our efforts on first?

There's nothing blue collar about any AFL club anymore they turnover millions, have a cast of roped off suits & superstars & little regard for the real world.

No one is really broke, no one is merging, no one is becoming the next Fitzroy, they service & knock off debt & all get slices of AFL Hou$e pie.
