Trump - Harris Presidential Election 2024

Well deepstate on video the night before the coup trying to rouse the crowd in storm the white house the next day and the cops are escorting the protestors into the building as it happened on video(including qanon shaman), don't know how more obvious it could be.

You have been down some of the darkest internet rabbit holes.

Grow up, pizzle.

One of the most divisive politicians in recent memory escaped a fateful bullet, so people are going to be flippant about it.

But another poster is right. Unfortunately, the topping of Trump wouldn't solve the deeper problems of the corrupt wasteland that is the US.

Having said that, Trump is a truly terrible turd of a human being. Low-rent scum. If the bullet had splashed that strangely orange watermelon of his, it would make it a pretty good day.

Peace and love, pizzle.
He's only divisivve in your eyes because he says no to the deepstate when they're cooking up one of their scams, only president in my lifetime(nearly 50) who hasn't started any new wars. Turns out those anti war lefties that have whining about US imperialism my whole life were either hopelessly misled by the same people behind these wars or never actually cared anyway(ie they're the fascists they accuse everyone else of being as witnessed by their covid response).

Absurd post, juxtaposing beautiful classical music to the ugliness and criminality of Trump. Scavino by the way was one of Trump's aides, totally involved in the Jan 6 coup attempt. Refused to obey subpoenas issued by the House Committee set up (supposedly) to investigate the attempted coup.
Isn't he also the one that writes up Trump's posts?

I've heard a few other people suggest that he's a divisive bloke, I don't think I'm breaking ground with the claim.

Trump doesn't know or care enough about international politics to make a meaningful intervention. He's the only president in your lifetime to renounce any responsibility for the world that the US has helped to create.

He's a simpleton, maybe a half step ahead of his supporters.

He declared war on American democracy when he lost the election. His attempts to rustle up 10,000 or so more votes in Georgia flummoxed Brad, and his windbaggery was clearly intended to incite an insurrection.

He is a proto-fascist on the path to full-blown authoritarianism. The only thing which gives me hope is that the halfwit might not have the attention span to carry through with the job.

The American war machine has basically wanted to attack everyone my whole life and you're trying to sell "he's too stupid to start any wars" at the same time Biden is involved in a war now for that same military complex that he started by supporting Ukraine including their legitimate WW2 type nazi Azov brigade.
Looks like Biden's too stupid to stop any wars if you were being kind, but the obvious reality is he's been working for that same military complex his whole life so of course he's going to start wars for them just like Obama did.

The views of Ironmonger are actually the product of the extreme right wing pro war policies of the Democrats. Such has been the aggressive, militarist policies of first Obama, and now Biden, that Trump has been able to fraudulently present himself as "anti-war". Nothing of course could be further from the truth: Trump will have no hesitation in starting a war should he deem it in the "national interests" (ie the interests of the corporate billionaires who back him). In the meantime, the sections of the ruling class who back Trump see the priority as dealing first and foremost with domestic opposition. Hence, Trump's relative lack of enthusiasm for the war in Ukraine, but his multiple threats that he will eliminate democracy should he be elected. To some very confused layers in society, Trump actually looks like a candidate who is "against war" (or, at least, not as much in favour of it as the Democrats).

… and is supplying fascists in Ukraine with the means to strike …

(1)

Every nation state that is at war within its own claimed borders has textbook fascist behaviours. See the term “martial law”. But it’s all a bit moot, because when citizens are facing an existential threat, they tend not to be too concerned about civil liberties by their own government.

(2)

There is no evidence that the Ukrainian government was behaving as a fascist regime pre-2022 invasion (or pre-2014 invasion). Ukraine was not building up their military. Ukraine was not imprisoning political opposition. Ukraine had had free and fair elections less than 3 years prior.

War is always messy, and neither side are totally virtuous, but by labelling the Ukrainians as “facists” you’re falling for Russian propaganda.

The thread is about Trump, not Covid.

There is a BF rule that states:

You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is:
  • dangerous to health, anti-vax, Covid denial etc,
Last warning, infractions will be applied.

So far the positives …

(1) Trump survived. Regardless of your opinion of him, things would have been worse if he died.

(2) Congress are getting on the front foot with calling up the head of Secret Service to testify. See the JFK assassination / Warren report for example for how a government botches an investigation and foments (unhealthy) distrust in government and embracing of conspiracy theories. The consequences of that persist to this day, more than 60 years on.

It’ll be interesting to see Trump’s reaction to this.

Nothing in the last 9 years would have made him appreciate anything like the gravity of what he’s doing more than feeling a bullet pass through his ear and hearing it zinging past.

The last 9 years will feel like playing in a pantomime by comparison.

How will he react? It’s always been speculated that while he is happy to be in the job, he has little interest in actually doing the job.

Will it steel him? Or will it make him lose interest altogether?

I guess we’ll find out this week at the Republican convention.

I still don't get...

a) how Trump's shoes came off and
b) what was so special about them that he needed to put them back on (hole in his socks?).
Wouldn't surprise if Donny had lifts in his shoes which makes them quite easy to slide out of? And donny didn't want anyone to see them?

He's an angry psychopath so there's no way you are going to see a mellow response, not outwardly for anyone else to see at least.

If his handlers can control him(as if), he has the perfect opportunity to portray himself as Donny the Forgiving Statesman.

More likely to get Donny the Pugnacious.

Could imagine him as a pug.

There is plenty of evidence that Zelensky has promoted fascists into upper echelons of his regime. There is ample evidence that fascist militia are integrated into the Ukrainian military.

Currently, the Ukrainian government has cancelled elections, bans all opposition parties, and sends bands of thugs into every town, hunting down men to send to the front. It is a dictatorship, not a democracy.
