Symonds &/or Watson?

who and why?

which of these 2 will tour south africa and why, or will both tour or neither

imo symo has the advantage at this stage, can produce some amazing things.

Watson does nothing, ********monds will produce one of these half centuries once every 50 or so innings, whilst Watson wont do much more than push around a 20-30 and go out

Neither of them are any good but if you had to choose you would take ********monds

I went yesterday and would have to say Symonds played a ********ing awesome innings.

He also bowled well.

Watson wont come straight into the side will have to play some domestic games but he probably wont have enough time to beat symmonds for his spot.

Therefore they'll probably take both.

That would be hilarious if Australia ever had those 2 in a test squad

if Symonds gets a 50 in Sydney he will be 1st choice for SA tour, if he fails he may miss, but it wont be Watson replacing him.

Am I the only one who thinks Watson will never be anything special with the ball, at this stage he still bowls pies.
His batting is solid but very slow at test level, he would not be a batsman that would rip any test team apart.

Yeah but those 2 would both be better batsman than ********monds or Watson

Its different when they are batting 8 and 9 and we have a decent attack around them. Watson or ********monds are in the side to make runs and take wickets. We just use Giles and Udal to bowl a few overs to give our strike bowlers a rest and if they make runs down the order its a bonus

Your definately not the only one, but there are a few QLDers on here and even a tasmanian or 2 who still love him that will tell you Watson is some god. Even a couple of Western Australians love him, but thats because WA is the only side he plays well against

Yeah it failed in Pakistan, but it worked with Giles and the 4 man pace attack against Australia and every other side we have played recently

true, and pollock is the best of them. can barely call kallis a test all rounder any more though, his bowling isnt good enough. thats why i like pollock, good bowler and good batter and at 8! kallis is there just to bowl now get the odd wkt.

When Kallis was at his best before his back injury.


In 2 seasons he averaged over 70 with bat and 26 with the ball.



That is a ********ing gun 2 years.

of course symonds has the front running because of the last few days.

they may sit on watto as symonds is coming out of his shell. watto may have to wait. cricket can be cruel at times, it was watto who let symonds into the team.

it'd be awesome if both could fit into the test team, but can't see that happening until they prove their value as a batsmen first.

Alot of 50's in test and has 2 hundreds in ODI's.
