BIOGRAPHY
Clarrie was a rover. He was a skilful player who despite his lack of size still fought courageously for the ball. Recruited from Prahran, he later formed part of the famous ruck combination with James, Herbert, Moffat, Minogue and Hughes. He was the Tigers’ leading rover for almost a decade. In a game against Fitzroy in 1912, he was Richmond’s sole goal scorer with 3 and his highest individual tally was 5 against Fitzroy in 1918. He was awarded Life Membership in 1920 and represented Victoria twice. He won the club Goalkicking award twice and was captain in 1918. He was a member of the 1920 and 1921 Premiership sides and played in 1919 Grand Final side where he was injured. He left Richmond and coached North Melbourne for one year, before returning to Richmond in 1924 for one Finals’ game. Clarrie later served on the Richmond Committee between 1924 and 1934; he was Vice-President in 1935, and Reserves President in 1936. In 1951 along with “Checker” Hughes and Jack Baggott, he was responsible for founding the Richmond Former Players’ Association.

Biggest steal ever… should have been top twentyPick 134 - Eric Zschech
I wanted to get the hardest to pronounce award....
View attachment 1294135 Eric was a centreman who was recruited from Minyip after winning the Wimmera League Best and Fairest award in 1928 . He was a very fair player who was skillful , stylish and well balanced . He was a fine drop kick and a player who always put the ball to good use. He formed part of a very successful centreline along with Alan Geddes and Brownlow Medallist Stan Judkins on the wings . Together , this combination represented Richmond in four consecutive Grand Finals.
Having joined Richmond in 1929, he played every season until 1935 when the club finished third . A member of the 1932 and 1934 Senior and 1929 Reserves Premiership sides. He also played in 1931 and 1933 Senior and 1930 Reserves Grand Final teams. He also represented Victoria once in 1934. His final game was the Preliminary Final loss of 1935. This guy was elite! His understanding with champion full forward Jack 'Skinny' Titus was legendary, and seemed at times almost telepathic.

Pick 140 - Liam Baker
Liam Baker is a joy to watch. Crafty, clever, tenacious, skilful, versatile, creative, provides great run and rebound off half-back but dangerous in the forward half too. A personal favourite so I might snap him up before someone else.
Another two time premiership player out of the rookie draft thank-you very much.
