Not sure if any threads have been put up yet in regards to the game. I do know the QLD boys selected for the game though. There is 12, they are:
Joel Smouha
Matthew Davis
Shane Rogerson
Ben Gibson
Brendan Whitecross
Rhys Magin
Dayne Zorko
Darin Stewart
Mathew Clarke (won the AFLQ Rising Star award mid-week)
Daniel Stewart
Daniel Britain
James Mulligan

The game is being played the Thursday of Grand Final week. If anyone knows the rest of the team and the Vic team that would be great :)

anyone know the date the teams will be released in full??
i thought they wouldve if all the qld boys have been named

All players and staff have received their letters, training begins on sunday so I guess the team will be released by the end of the week.

Hope Mulligan tears it up. I also want to hear more about Matthew Clarke, please.
Seen clarke a couple of times has pace kicks goals had a good final against the lions kicked 5 but was playing on a 17yo. Rookie list at the best for clarke as he is 21 question marks on why he has taken so long to develop

players that have been asked to play for victoria are:

Dandenong - Luke Potts, Paul Rogasch, Jarrad Boumann, John McCarthy
Oakleigh - Glen Chivers, Lachlan Hill
Sandringham - Brad Gilder, John Shaw, Luke Casey Leigh
Bendigo - Josh Gaylor
Western - Rhyce Prismall, Steve Kennedy, Steven Morris
Geelong - Jaxson Barham, Justin Baxter, Luke Delaney, Adam Donohue, Chris Lynch, Andrew Scott, Jack Steven, Jeremy MuGavin

and also i think there are invites for a few vfl players that either play vfl or vfl reserves which are:

Werribee - Jackson Sherringham
Frankston - Dale Whelan
Sandringham - Stefan Martin

more players will be added because there will be players unavailable to play but thats the invites list so far.

Do you know if any Tassie boys were named in the side?

Interesting group. Plenty of those named are in the 'will they, won't they' group. Plenty of budding rookies and some borderline draftees. A good game might be enough for some. A bad game could mean the final 'x'.

Interested to see Sheringham get a berth, was reagrded by some last year and is pretty pacy, and IIRC was carrying an injury for most of the champs? Anyone know what his form has been like this year? Hope he puts up a good show and earns a rookie spot.:thumbsu:

Hopefully this year the Vics can pull together a win as over the past two years the kids have been given a beating by the allies squad. No doubt the extra training session before the game will help

Do TAC kids train together at all or is it Heres your jumper do your best.

From what I have heard from people in the past the boys have only trained the night before the game for about 2 hours and then play the next day! Where as the Allies boys i'm pretty sure train together after the interstate tac cup teams finish their games.

Interesting group?

Perhaps its a good thing to have a lot of players who are in the 'will they, won't they' group get that last chance to impress the AFL clubs, but I dare say many of them may have already been ticked 'they won't' by AFL clubs.

Admittedly there are only 2 or 3 I have any interest in but I was trying to sound positive and pump the game up ;)

Still approximately 100+ kids have to be drafted/rookied so if a few don't come out of this game I don't know where clubs are going to be find them.

can someone shed some light on why the hell Donaldson and Thoolen from Bendigo arent playing? bothed sufferd 2-4 week injuries late in the season but surely would be right to play by now? Both representd Vic Country and are draft chances..

Tom Collier was not included as clubs are already aware of his ability.
