Not NFL related but man that poison pill could be a huge deal in all kinds of sports rights in the future.
You think foxtel/Kayo or Stan or whoever could match the same terms if Amazon or Google wanted to buy up the AFL or NRL rights next time. no chance they could put 3 years of money in escrow in advance and keep it refill every year.

The same could be said for some of the American broadcasters the next time the NFL deals are up. NBA may of just f**ked everyone around the world just to get back at WB saying they "dont need" the NBA. because Amazon or google could do the same with soccer in Europe, or cricket in India/England if they wanted to.
It gets worse all the time. Can see the appeal from the leagues on ensuring the money promised is paid (French Ligue 1 in the soccer had their media partner collapse in 2020) but if it drives away competition you can end up suffering. More media players = more money. Your spot on with the googles and Amazon's can find the dollars today, once there aren't competitors they'll stop over paying

No broadcasters can match the money a google or Amazon can. even streamers cant match them. American companies like Disney/Comcast/Paramount cant match and Fox is much much smaller then them since selling most of its assets to Disney.

Apple can match if they want but they dont seem interested in spending big on sport right now. just low cost sports deals to get the foot in the door like the MLS and MLB.

Like with the AFL TV deal that starts next season. if Fox had to keep 3 years in escrow at all times they would need to have about $1.25bn No chance any Australian company could afford that and doubt any would get the credit for it.

thats based on Fox paying about 65% of the TV deal.

for the NFL TV deals 3 years would be.
Disney/ESPN - $8bn+
Fox - $6.6BN+
CBS/Paramount - $6.3BN+
NBC/Comcast - $6BN+

Keep in mind the current sale of Paramount is only worth $4.5bn in cash

Sorry if answered elsewhere, getting into college football and trying to understand the streaming rights and how to watch games.

Based on what's in the forum and elsewhere, I believer there's no legal way to watch Big10 games legally. Kayo occasionally has some games, but otherwise the Big12 / SEC / ACC games are on WatchESPN (e.g., LSU v Aggies is on now on WatchESPN but not Kayo).

Is there a way to get WatchESPN on a TV by an app of some sort? I can only seem to access it on an iPhone / iPad and then cast it to the tv.

Trying to watch a few mins of the MNF game over lunch and getting a blackout message on watch ESPN. Never had this before and was watching redzone yesterday..... Anyone evey had this?

Game tile. Bizarre as everything else I can watch
Try a VPN. there was a glitch a few months ago where if you log in with a Foxtel account and then turn on a VPN you can access the US feeds. Dont know if its been fixed or not.
