I thought Cobbos form would have warranted a starting spot TBH. Also think Mam better compliments DCE in the halves but that would have been a VERY brave selection.

Feels like another series that NSW will come in before game 1 to be slight faves.

Cobbo has been great this season, can't believe he's not in the 17.

For all the wailing and gnashing of teeth, that's two pretty decent sides, should be a good contest.

Not picking Fifita is on the level of some of Freddy Fittler's selections, makes no sense whatsoever. He is a weapon and has had a very good year with the Titans (arguably his best)

Poor for the first 6-8 weeks, yes he was injured but the point stands, slow build into the season. Has had a brilliant last month. Su'A has been fantastic every week for the Dragons.

Ahead of who that's the issue with Cobbo, was never going to be ahead of Holmes as qld NEED. kicker, you aren't going into an Origin series with DCE kicking goals. Hammer has be be the other centre. You can make a case for not having Coates or Talagui though, but it's same as whatever there

Walsh is very inconsistent as a kicker and he’s not even the first choice for his club. Not a chance I’d be leaving Hammer out. Was brilliant last year and has been outstanding when not injured this season. Talagui would be the one but it’s much as, Murray is the Australian winger

I mean im not saying its a woeful choice but Cobbos current form (last few weeks) has been absolutely outrageous. Plus hes a great meter eater coming off his own defensive line and another bomb diffuser.

Honestly of all of them Holmes is probably the one not playing great but he also grows a leg for origin.

I’d have personally left Coates out myself actually and that’s the way I’d have gone. However there’s no terrible call all 3 are great options can only pick 2

Yeh agreed, 13 on 13 its pretty well matched tbh. The only really obvious missing parties are Munster and Cleary who are injured, very very hard to fault any other choices.

Defensive reads are so critical on the wings these days in fact look at the top sides they all have wingers that really defend well. Hes never played wing in his life other than a couple of fill in games and you want him in and Origin. It’s sort of why I get the Talagui selection he’s the best defensive winger in the state and good enough in attack

I think as a fullback hes probably got a pretty good read on overlap and ball movement but i can see your point.

Think it is crazy to not pick Burton somewhere in the 17 if you are going to carry Hynes.
