It's getting desperate times now for the Tankers. Judds 29 in 2012, Scotland will be 32, Waite 29, etc. I would say they have a one-year window.

2012:

Burgoyne 30
Guerra 30
Mitchell 30
Osborne 30
Bateman 31
Bruce 33

Hawks are done bro
Rainman pwned again :p
Brad Sewell & Hodge are close enough in age to Judd so they are on thier last legs. They may get an extra 10 games than Judd

Not at all. Besides Mitchell none of the players mentioned for Hawthorn are irreplaceable. I mean, really, you'd think you'd know if Cameron Bruce is your counterargument, you're struggling.

Saying 'pwned' and actually doing it are two very different things.

Burgoyne, Guerra, half backs not irreplaceable players. We have a surplus of half backs if anything.

Mitchell required player, irreplaceable, a few years left though.

Osborne, Bateman, have probably been overtaken this year by Whitecross and Breust. Gunston probably seals Bateman's fate.

Bruce, rofl, really?

We're talking required players here, and certainly Judd was marked as the player you'd build your flag assault around. Probably 1 year left of that.

Strange thread but always funny to see HP pwned again.

Obviously pwned means something different where you come from. Nothing I have said has been proven wrong or countered. Your aging stars are a problem and will continue to be one. Therefore a flag next year is vital.

Hawthorn have a few players turning 30 next year, but these are mostly fringe players.

You were talking up Guerra a minute ago now he is replaceable?Burgoyne is irreplaceable in your side at the moment hes a gun the hawks would miss his class. Surplus of halfbacks please.

Mitchell still has still a few years left at 30 odd but Judd at 28 but only 1 year left? You are not normal Hodge podge.

Dont worry about Judd or the Blues mate both are building up just nicely.

Guerra was a great pick for a Pick 3 in the Preseason Draft, but he is not irreplaceable by any means. Suckling has already overtaken him as our premier kicker-inner. Cheney probably takes his spot if he starts to slow down.

No . . . Mitchell is only 1 year older than Judd. We're talking about ages next year, where Judd is 29 and Mitchell 30. You've made it out like Mitchell is at least 3 years older than Judd. Nice one.

But anyway, there are two reasons I came to this finding.

1. Mitchell has an outside game. Judd does not. This extends his career a while.
2. Hawthorn don't rely on Mitchell.

You have no idea what you are doing you clown.

This post you just did proves it.

Hawks have 4 players on their list turning 30 next year.

Burgoyne
Guerra
Mitchell
Osborne

Pretty required players if you ask me.

You dont have any idea about your own team.

Excuse me 1 year older then.

So playing an inside game shortens a career? Time will tell no proof in that
just opinions.

The way Mitchell was relied on by the hawks this year was Judd like.

Judd isnt our best midfielder anymore unlike the ageing Mitchell

Required players but hardly irreplaceable. That's the difference here.

Carlton are coming from further back than Hawthorn. They'll need to improve just to make the Top 4, THEN try and win a flag. Judd's 29 next year so the window is closing rapidly.

Not required, just look at the stats. 1 poor final.

Fremantle final is not included due to first quarter injury.
LOL.
So the overrated one has only 1 good finals performance that we know of.
What is it with Hawthorn supporters and claiming thier players are injured when they are just shit

Most inside players change their game as they go post 30. Matthews did it by playing in the forward pocket for example. Mitchell can go half back or forward pocket. Judd is poor at both, he's a very one-dimensional player.

Judd isnt our best midfielder anymore unlike the ageing Mitchell

Neither player is their club's best midfielder imo. Mitchell was the best performed midfielder but Hodge is our best overall, and Shiels is gaining.

Judd dominated against Bottom 9 sides this year, and his frontrunning was exposed when it came time to play finals against real sides.

Well what are they required players or fringe players? make up your mind.

So now Mitchell is hardly irreplacable now hay?

You said he irreplaceable before.

Like i said before you are a clown and have no idea.

Well what are they required players or fringe players? make up your mind.

They can't be both? I don't think we'd be delisting any of them, but having said that they're mostly players on the fringe, especially someone like Bateman for example.

So now Mitchell is hardly irreplacable now hay?

You said he irreplaceable before. .

Talking about the players as a whole. Mitchell himself would be marked as irreplaceable.

Peace out.

Hi Bay, your nominated champion of justice here.

One of my many roles as your elected arbiter is to intervene in disputes, and as such I have been asked to take a closer look at Carlton's recent drafting.

Let's start with the 2005 AFL draft.

Honest I've never even heard of half these players.

Marc Murphy (Pick 1, picked himself.)
Josh Kennedy (moved on, kicked Carlton out of the finals)
Paul Bower (asking for trade out, spud)
Jake Edwards (who?)
Dylan McLaren (nice car)
Ryan Jackson (actor?}
Craig Flint {cool name, no can footy}

This in a year where Carlton had TWO first round picks, including the No.1  And they end up with a bunch of spuds nobody's even heard of. No wonder they haven't beaten Hawthorn since.

Discuss.

Funny thing is the blues are the opnly team in history to have beaten the hawks 100 times.
Secondly they have given the hawks the worst loss in the hawks history of 128 points, recorded 5 wins of 3 figure margins and between 1991 and 2001 lost just once to the hawks.
Mate they head u in premierships also.
jealousy is a curse dude.

Hawthorn 2008 Premiership.
Carlton :eek::eek:

hawthorn 10 premierships overall
carlton 16 premierships overall
collingwood 15
seems you are still trolling your way as catch up flags will be a thing for the rest of the hawks football lives.
enjoy hodgepodge eating their dust little man:(
