I know there is already a thread on him in regards to his game yesterday, but i really don't think he played that badly. In fact i think he was one of our better players, and i really can't understand the negativity around his game. The following are his stats from yesterday:
Disposals: 24
Marks: 9
Tackles: 11
Goals: 1
Inside 50s: 7
11 tackles, IMO, just outlines the Carrazzo's work rate under the pack that goes un-noticed. The stats above was a great return yesterday in a game where most of our players were flat. Now, before most of you go ahead and start saying "but it's how he uses the ball thats poor" - consider the following:
Carrazzo:
24 Disposals, 68% Disposal Efficiency, 1 Clanger
That is far better than the following players (only for those who got 10+ disposals):
Garlett:
13 disposals, 46% DE, 5 clangers
Gibbs:
20 disposals, 65% DE, 2 clangers
Waite:
17 disposals, 59% DE, 4 clangers
(same as) Jamison:
12 disposals, 67% DE, 1 clanger
I know stats really do mean nothing at the end of the day, but I really don't think that Carrazzo played as bad of a game as a lot of people are saying. Once again, I think he was probably one of our better players yesterday. While his entries in to the forward 50 weren't the best, i don't necessarily blame that on him, as our structure (or lack there of) was terrible yesterday. Well done carrots!
