I know there is already a thread on him in regards to his game yesterday, but i really don't think he played that badly. In fact i think he was one of our better players, and i really can't understand the negativity around his game. The following are his stats from yesterday:

Disposals: 24
Marks: 9
Tackles: 11
Goals: 1
Inside 50s: 7

11 tackles, IMO, just outlines the Carrazzo's work rate under the pack that goes un-noticed. The stats above was a great return yesterday in a game where most of our players were flat. Now, before most of you go ahead and start saying "but it's how he uses the ball thats poor" - consider the following:

Carrazzo:
24 Disposals, 68% Disposal Efficiency, 1 Clanger

That is far better than the following players (only for those who got 10+ disposals):
Garlett:
13 disposals, 46% DE, 5 clangers
Gibbs:
20 disposals, 65% DE, 2 clangers
Waite:
17 disposals, 59% DE, 4 clangers
(same as) Jamison:
12 disposals, 67% DE, 1 clanger

I know stats really do mean nothing at the end of the day, but I really don't think that Carrazzo played as bad of a game as a lot of people are saying. Once again, I think he was probably one of our better players yesterday. While his entries in to the forward 50 weren't the best, i don't necessarily blame that on him, as our structure (or lack there of) was terrible yesterday. Well done carrots!

So this isn't really a toast, you just wanted your disagreement with those criticizing him to stand out?

Refer to above post.

Yeah should have just posted this in the other thread.

What else are threads going to come from bar news articles? After all, this is an opinion-based & discussion forum is it not?

So stick your opinion-based post where everyone else does. FMD, what a cheek... I can see 5 other threads your post could have gone but of course you think it would have got lost among the rest. Read the first line of your OP - makes no justification for a new thread whatsoever.

well since we have a carrazo thread up i may as well discus his nickname

Carrots serves it's job but i think could be improved if we called him Chorizo like the sausage, it honors his Italian background, sounds like his surname and keeps the food theme of his other nickname.
