Another lopsided free kick count - Saints v Giants 22-10

Stay on topic, if you want to discuss Bulldogs umpiring, there's about 50 other threads for that.

22-10. Disgraceful. Free kick count should be equal. Armchair ride from the umps; Saints didn't deserve to win.

Why the **** should the free kick count be equal?

WOW, just WOW!! Surely you're taking the piss after what was the most biased umpiring of all last night?! Oh hang on what was the count last night?! 21-12 in favour of the Bulldogs and not to mention the disgraceful descision made in the last 25 seconds.

The goal to Jack when it should have been holding the ball was closer to 3 mins left then 25 seconds

Freo getting a lot more free kicks than the bombers. Here we go again....
According to Big Footy logic if any team wins both the game and the free kick count, it's the umpires fault they won.
Nothing to do with how a team played footy. Is that how it goes?

Good call. GWS didnt get a free kick for the last 14 minutes of the game. Do you really reckon not one of them laid a tackle worth rewarding, and not one Saints player infringed on a GWS player in that amount of time?

We lost the count 16 to 10. Didnt get a single free kick in the last 7 or 8 minutes.

I'm telling you, plugger isn't an elaborate troll. He's a genuine Susan Olsen

Believing that the Bulldogs are one of the most heavily favoured teams in recent history when it comes to umpiring doesn't make me a Sooz.

The Bulldogs supporters like you in denial about it fit that description better than me.

St Kilda decisively winning a free kick count is a rarity but for the Bulldogs it's a regular occurrence.

We just attack the ball harder, put our bodies on the line and remain disciplined.

We're not in denial, we accept that we are deserving of all the frees we get. And will do, into the future. It's others who need to accept it as well and save themselves the high blood pressure every week :).

Perhaps it is something to do with GWS.
You know ... something like the fact that they have a regular free kick differential in the minus.

WOW now the AFL have even come out and admitted that St Kilda was favoured. Saints fans must be delusional if they think they weren't gifted a victory by the AFL.

Apart from the deliberate call against Callan Ward there weren't many other decisions GWS could complain about, we were clearly the better team and if anything the umpiring kept them in the game with the amount of holding the balls or incorrect disposals they were allowed to get away with.

Says who? The difference between the end number should only tell you one thing - which team was cleaner and infringing less. Never anywhere has it ever been said that it must be equal.
Awaiting a plethora of Saints fans to refute this point and complain.

Bulldogs supporters embarrassing themselves with their lack of football knowledge again.

Unlike last year's GF or prelim we deserved the lopsided free kick count in our favour as we tackled harder and put our bodies on the line more than GWS.

The umpires actually kept GWS in the game in the first half by ignoring all the HTB free kicks we should have got and only paying the blatantly obvious ones.

I don't think any GWS supporter would complain about being robbed by the umpiring like Swans fans did after the GF last year as we were the better team.

Looking forward to playing the Dogs this season, we just beat the team you lost to last week, I'd back us to beat you as well unless the umpires help you out.
This is awesome :D

“Callan Ward was the harshest one. On reflection and talking on Monday to Schwabby (Peter Schwab) and (umpires coach) Hayden Kennedy my view would be a player on his opposite foot under pressure and being pushed as he kicked it with not many options to bring it back, that was the wrong call.
So umpires are now expected to know which foot a player prefers to kick with?

Some of the bullshit justifications from the AFL are worse than the actual decision.
