My old man is a north supporter and I know this incident took a lot of his enjoyment from footy for a good while. Do you guys find that looking back on 96/99 is a little bittersweet?

No it was awesome and I'll enjoy those memories forever. My old man is a north supporter and I know this incident took a lot of his enjoyment from footy for a good while. Do you guys find that looking back on 96/99 is a little bittersweet?
Frog shit. Nobody's held a gun to her head to speak to the journo. Then to label Stevo as having a lack of empathy, selfish, blah blah. Well guess what love, shit sticks.I think it's fair enough she speaks. If she's moved in her life and it's brought up again I would assume it is distressing (because of her kids).
I don't really like all of this being played out in the public. People should just get on with their lives (and therapy if it benefits them).
Footnote - fair to say she was one of the hottest WAGs of that 90s team.
Couldnt have said it better myself, I know who the selfish one is - you cow.Speaking from her home in southern New South Wales, Ms Stevens labelled her ex-husband "selfish" for speaking publicly about the affair last week.
"He showed a real lack of thought. He doesn't seem to have any empathy," she said.
"It's like I've been thrown to the wolves again. It's been an emotional few days, it's like a nightmare that never stops."
Poor Kelli, you have my heart felt sympathies. You are the real victim in this. How about you take a bit of time to think about how your selfishness have caused this situation. He did no wrong in this affair.
"He was pushing it, it wasn't mutual despite what he says," she said. "I had never felt like that before. It was exciting. No one had shown me this type of attention before.
You sure about that Kelli? Not even a former teammate of Anthony's?
At least Carey seems to have taken responsibility for his actions no knows he stuffed up
Yup. Cow.Couldnt have said it better myself, I know who the selfish one is - you cow.
My heart bleeds NOT.
You could have said NO
Carey's current missus gave a fairly good interview today which should hopefully be the last word on the subject.Carey spoke
Stevo spoke
Kellie spoke
The media will now have almost zero interest in this unless something else happens which is highly unlikely.
Dust settles and it's over, hopefully forever.
Personally, hell no. I started supporting North as a kid because of Wayne Carey (thanks for saving me for a lifetime of sad as an intended Bulldogs supporter) and my parents did a good job sheltering me from the shady aspects of his personality before the Stevens scandal hit. Once it all happened, and his life went further downhill in the following years, I was able to maintain a level of separation in my head between Carey the man and Carey the footballer. My old man is a north supporter and I know this incident took a lot of his enjoyment from footy for a good while.
