I'm not expecting River or any of our draftees to play AFL footy and that's how it should be.
That's Konstanty, RHJ, Payne and Harvey'v potential domain who might be more ready.
River's got his limitations, as did Arch, but I wouldn't count him out given the character of his old man.
There's a famous quote from NBA coach Rudy Tomjanovich that says "don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion".
River might not make it, but I like his courage, competitiveness, workrate and ability to hit targets by foot.
I think that's worth a punt on for a late ND or rookie pick given who we've taken recently.
If they don't select him then so be it. Hopefully they at least give him a run in the VFL team.

Yeah - has some really good traits that you'd think will suit AFL. Needs to be in the system for two years.
