‘An alleged arsonist accused of firebombing the Burgertory restaurant in Caulfield told covert police officers the attack was linked to the conflict in the Middle East, contradicting authorities’ repeated claims there was no racial, religious or political motive.

The brief in the case obtained by The Age shows undercover operatives gathered information suggesting the high-profile attack on the restaurant on November 10 last year was connected to the violence in Gaza.’

It's paywalled. Have they found who paid him to firebomb the tobacco stores and the Burgertory?

She's allowing herself to be photographed wearing socks with her sandals. Yes that's weird.

A blurred shot of a woman in a brown t-shirt and brown leggings walking in handcuffs between two plain clothes police officers.

Horrible, this person invoked the Christ Church terrorist attack.

In short:

A "major" investigation has been launched after a social media threat was made against a newly-opened Sydney mosque, threatening to "christ church 2.0 this joint".

The threat comes as Muslims mark the holy month of Ramadan.

NSW Premier Chris Minns says the state government and NSW Police are taking the threat "very seriously" and that all forms of Islamaphobia will not be tolerated.

Oh ... it's Logan.
I used to go to Logan every xmas late 80's early 90's with the family to visit close family friends, always saddens me what it turned into.

Is it confirmed it was a hate crime incident or gang related? still, i'm not surprised at all the media aren't making this as big as it would have been if it was another Jewish attack.

I haven't been through Logan for ages and would definitely avoid it completely now. Across this board we've seen some really, sadistically horrific crimes come out of Logan.

Don't know yet what the cops might be thinking.

It might be a good idea if Australian Jewish and Muslim leaders came together and tried to help each other.

Another.

The 20-year-old man from Springwood ...

As the pair walked past a white Hilux, the vehicle suddenly drove forward, and its occupants fired multiple shots at them before speeding away.

The 20-year-old was struck in the right shoulder by a projectile.

Police mention a weapon but not a gun or a shooting in this article so I wonder if it wasn't a firearm?

Just saw this.

But let's not forget it was the police who said the mob was saying "where's the Jew's"...

I take the Imam's word as truth and hope Queensland Police can catch the perps before this escalates.

I'm still not sure if the offender was using a gun or it was something else, no attempted murder or firearms charge as yet?

A 23-year-old Kingston man has been charged with three counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Brooklyn Te-Hake Henare Ruatara did not appear when his matter was heard at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday and did not apply for bail.

Police allege Mr Ruatara was unlawfully using a motor vehicle while armed with a dangerous weapon when he struck two men with a projectile and attempted to strike a third.

More and more terror threats towards our Islamic community. Where has tolerance and compassion gone? This needs to stop.

It's out of control.

The last time there was an escalation of events if I can't remember exactly what it was over, I'm sure I saw religious leaders from the Jewish and Muslim communities come together to present a united front and there was quite a bit of press around it.

I haven't seen anything like that yet, it might help?

Yeah the reporting on this has been bizarre
