So no extension for Hayward before the deadline, he'll become a restricted free agent in July. No blowouts yet against the likes of OKC and Houston (thought we would sneak that Houston win). But Kanter and Burks look great this year, Favors too.

I would have tried hard to get the Hayward deal done, could cost us a lot of money. Will probably receive some big offers from the likes of Boston/Phoenix, even if he doesn't set the world on fire. I think he'll stick around though.

On another note, ugly, ugly game today. We have no offensive structure. Burke and Rush should help space the floor when they come in which helps everyone, especially Favors and Burks. Favors/Kanter got owned by Lopez, good learning curve for them though. I think Gobert has potential, and not just because of his size.

Still reasonably happy with the start to the year. We've been competitive for the most part and if we can stay hungry we should start to pinch a few games soon. Need to keep morale up, otherwise it's gonna be hard to keep guys like Hayward around.

Ok, I'm changing my tune, we suck real bad. I was expecting plenty of losses, not blowouts on home court against a lottery team without 3 of their better players.

Our PGs had 4 points 5 assists, theirs 32 & 11. Seriously. Our bench got beaten 42-16. 3/17 from 3. Been saying the same stuff all year.

NO - maybe?
Spurs - god no
@ GSW - god no
GWS - nope
@ NO - nope
@ Dallas - maybe?
@ OKC - nope
Chicago - maybe?

0-16 a genuine possibility. If we can't pinch one of the 2 games against Phoenix after that stretch... I dunno.

The four that matter are doing there bit ...........

Yep, although Hayward's the only one that's been consistent and Kanter needs to improve on defense. Still reckon we're a superstar player, solid PG play and a good coach away from being a good team, as well as some role players.

Cap space will get us the SS .....
Burkes will be a solid at point ....
And shit results will help push the coach point home ........
Add Wiggins and next year we could really improve quickly .

Corbin is the worst coach in the league. By far. If we dont win tomorrow I cant see us winning a game any time soon.

This Jazz team right now may be the worst offensive team in nba history. There is no playbook.

I want a Randle. He has an insane will to win. And I want a win. Losing sucks.

- 9/16 from 3 (if you don't count Lucas' 0-7, which I don't as we won't be seeing much/any of him when Burke gets back)
- Role players/bench players contributing
- Solid, composed PG play (Garrett :thumbsu: )
- Clutch shots from important players
- Most importantly, we played with HEART

Timely win for the young player's confidence, can't let them forget what it's like to win. You saw how hard they had to work to pull it out and how happy they were, even if it was only NO at home at the back end of a road trip. Now back to losing:p

Pretty sad state of affairs when our best point guard hasn't played an NBA game yet. Bring on Wiggins, Parker or Randle

Anyone watch the game today? I didn't but Hayward 1/17, geeeezz. And only 4 free throw attempts, when it's not falling get to the line FFS. Did have 11 assists though, but still, 1/17... We scored 98 despite that so a lot of things must have gone right, if he hits a still-very-bad 6/17 we win.

Also how did Trey look? Box score looks promising...

Another timely win, despite JL3/Corbin doing their best to lose it (yeah Bulls really suck). I cbf looking at the box score but he played about 20 of the worst minutes I've ever seen from a Jazz player, yet the promising 25yo Garrett gets a DNPCD. Corbin and his vets. And that last play of the 4th quarter, who do you think Hayward is? Kobe, MJ, Lebron? Horrible, almost/should have cost us.

Hayward's getting pretty frustrating although I like the fact he's clearly out of sorts and still contributing. Burks has regressed badly. First time I've seen Trey as a pro, took a fair few dodgy shots but hit some big ones as well and was generally solid, needless to say he starts for the rest of the year no matter what and we'll re-assess then. Massive man crush on Gobert :hearts:
