He made that announcement at the time of the first members forum in late April. At that point they hadn't come to grips with the fact that membership levels were well below what they had budgeted for, even though most other people were able to compare the year on year numbers and see we were in trouble. And in addition they had not yet realised that the 1500 memberships in Canberra used to be money in the bank for NMFC whereas the 1700 memberships on the GC is money in the AFL's bank. D'oh!

Now you have to ask yourself whther we were lied to at the members' forum or whether it was simply gross incompetence. Or maybe there was some other explanation?!

You are a Superstar Glenn, what would we do without you?

Are you telling me we don't get membership dollars from the GC? What a frickin disgrace our board is!

You can have your Careys, Pagans, Ayletts etc etc. But none of them can hold a candle to this bloke. If anyone can get the members off their backside, it's this man. And the sooner he's on the board the better. We're going to miss Archers on field capabilities, but down the track it could very well turn out that his retirement couldn't have come at a better time. The sooner the likes of him are running the club, and weeding out the corporate coats and ties and beancounters, the sooner the members will start coming out of the woodwork.

We get $400k a game. The AFL get gate receipts, most advertising, memberships, etc etc. And they run the show up there - we don't.

maybe after the deal ends in 2009 we can deal directly with the GC or Qld government so we can benefit more from bringing games to SE-Qld.

Probably would have been safer dealing with Southport. At least they're honest in saying openly they want to "do" us. Not like this rohypnol in the drink crap that the AFL is attempting.

If all Roos members & supporters take a leaf out of the great ones book....we should get to 28k no problem.

spruik, spruik, spruik.
