I dont think so....

Need Tassie in and a 20th side.

Saying that...

it goes by every 6 seasons...

2006: Eagles beat swans in a Grand final
2012: Swans beat hawks in a grand final
2018: Eagles beat magpies in a grand final
2024: Brisbane vs Sydney

Yep.

Last three years, non Melbourne teams make up 8 of the 12 top4 teams at the end H&A.

Non Melbourne teams never have a problem finishing top4...over represented actually.

But teams like Brisbane and Port have lost home finals, whilst Richmond, Melbourne and the Dogs have won finals all over Australia.
your point?

If We are talking about 2021, 2022 and 2023 with 8 of the 12 top 4 sides being non Vic clubs, then why didnt a non vic club win a flag in 2021 or 2022 or 2023?

you think with only 4 of the Victorian sides make up that 12 top 4 spots in 3 seasons, Surely a Non vic side on average should win one flag in 2021 or 2022 or 2023?

If we look at it club by club…

West Coast - Long, long way off. Their next coach won’t be a premiership coach for them.

Adelaide- Long way off. Perhaps another coach away as well.

Port- Hahahaha. Need to rebuild their leadership group and style of football to meet the heat of September:

GWS- Perhaps. They have a strong list that’s primed over the next 2-3 years and their game style is strong. They’ve underperformed.

Sydney- Yes. Should win it this week and their list is young enough to contend for several years. Need to keep Warner though.

Freo - Could lift themselves up and jag that elusive flag if they recruit well and their young core develops further. It is Freo though.

Brisbane- Should have snaffled one over the last few years. Strong this year but their stars are aging. May be their last real tilt, but the comp is weak at the moment and may be up there like Freo over the next couple of years and jag a lucky one.

Gold Coast- If Dimma can’t do it then no one will. Will the brats conform or will he be spat out like the dozen other coaches for the club? This could go all Mick Malthouse on him if he’s not careful. But it would be amusing to see him deliver Gold Coast a flag before Freo and St Kilda in the modern era. He certainly has the cattle. One flag could lead to several.

Think you’re being a little unfair on a couple there. Freo have a young squad with a great midfield core, forwards improving. I reckon they are a top four team that underperformed these last two years. Recruit one or two names this off season and reckon they’ll give the flag a shake next year.

Adelaide were predicted to make the finals by some this year before the wheels fell off. Maybe a change of coach and they could be challenging next year or the year after.

Add those two to Sydney and GWS, Brisbane to at least make finals for another year or two, GC, who the hell knows.
