Armfield and Brown?

Whats going on with these two guys? How are they going in the Ants? When are they going to crack the senior team?

I dont know too much about them just have hurd a few good things. Could we have some comparisons to who they may play like or develop to be?

Developing well at this stage. I would say on level par and will definately get a game some time this year.

Browne hard midfielder/defender with ok skills. Natural football then athlete

Armfield is a hard nut with determination and speed. At 21y/o/a has the body to play senior footy straight away but need to work on ball skills. Tackling magnat & enjoys dong the 1%ers which he loves.

think they're closer than we think. Wouldn't be suprised if one of them come in for Russell this week. On last weeks game for Bullants my leaning would be to Browne.

cannot wait to see these two. Saw army in the NAB game v port but didnt notice hime that much, seemed to be on the bench a bit. the rave reviews hr gets on here for his tackling sounds like a great inclusion however

Definatly get these blokes in, may as well see them develope in the seniour side... Don't forget about anderson too... We have good tall defenders, horribly small/medium ones, but the guys in the second look like being the real deal.

Please, please, please pick a natural backman like Armfield instead of some of our makeshift / wannabe defenders.

I expect both Browne and Armfield to play senior footy for the Blues this year.

At 21, Armfield has the mature body to slot straight into the Carlton team but needs to work on his disposal.

Browne is a beauty and despite still being reasonably small is tough and composed.

They could seriously be our replacements in the backline for Scotland and Houlihan down the track.

we need DEFENDERS who can rebound.....not loose unaccountable players in defence. The sooner we start blooding the likes of armfield, browne and especially joey anderson the better. Scotland and houla should be knowhere near defence...scotland for mid rotation, houla bench/bullants, russell bullants.

Both seem capable of stepping up, I'd go with Browne as he seems a bit more versatile, can play back/forward, kicked 2 goals for ants last week.

I'd go with Armfield because we desperately need a bit of pace running through our midfield to put pressure on the ball carrier. It's our biggest weakness believe it or not, our midfield just lacks pace and they are incapable of chasing people down. I think its the only reason Russell gets a game really, and the pathetic thing about him is that he's naturally quick but never ever uses it during a game.
