Pretend Maynard is Curnow, I bet you say something completely different.Maynard has a duty of care to Brayshaw. He failed in that duty. He should be playing his last game for the season.
And don't even get me started about dangerfield making prognostications about this sort of incident. President of the players group etc posing as judge and jury.
Collingwood aren’t committing the same numbers to each contest. One goes in 3 or four are lining up. To tackle the Melb player or receive and take off.Pace is trumping grunt atm … we’re gonna need an extra runner or two I reckon
It's identical to the Cripps incident the way I see it. Both leave the ground to contest the ball in a football act. Both have no intention to bump. Both whilst in the air brace to protect themselves. Just a ridiculously unfortunate outcome in both casesMaynard has a duty of care to Brayshaw. He failed in that duty. Maynard was trying to spoil and braced himself when coming down to land. I would hope if that was Curnow, it would be seen as a football incident.

I loathe the sniper that is Maynard but agree entirely with this post. It's identical to the Cripps incident the way I see it. Both leave the ground to contest the ball in a football act. Nope. Of you are genuine about protecting the head you cannot allow a loophole that let's people cannonball into a players head.Pretend Maynard is Curnow, I bet you say something completely different.
