Noble needs to continue working on his 1v1 and ball use to challenge Markov or WHE I think.

I suspect that's why the selection went the way it did last year. I'm a Noble fan and think that Oleg has to work on his running patterns and involvement to match what JN offers in terms of transiiton - I think the ball use is pretty similar. It comes down to which we value more - Oleg's more rounded defensive game or JN's more regular run, and at the moment I think we're struggling with transiiton.

Very talented but unfortunately just not at the level we need from him, definitely feel for him as his position is one of the hardest in the game, but im just not seeing the urgency in his approach to the ball. I don’t think it’s lazy, but he doesn’t seem desperate for the ball, which is surprising since he has the perfect opportunity to try cement a long term spot in our team, I don’t think we are expecting him to kick 2-3 goals a game or anything like that. He has a prime example of a player getting the most outta himself in Checkers, just wanna see him crash packs like he does.

The rage from some of our fans towards this guy in the stadium was really uncomfortable last night. Had an aspect to it that other players don't cop. Thought a premiership might chill people out but nah, grown men and women throwing a hate filled tantrum at a player that's become an easy target.

Last couple of years the fan base has been brilliant and I've become proud of our support, but sitting there last night listening to that rubbish, watching the droves leave in the third quater, it's a reminder that a lot of people are still the same and they're exactly what people say about us. Side by Side is bullshit to them, only when we're winning.

I think the transition is more a team thing than any 1 individual. Get the mindset right and stop turning the footy over and it’ll return to what we know the team is capable of. I don’t think there’s any benefit in changing essentially fringe players when the top echelon are equally guilty.

AJ seems to be a very laconic player. I also think he is still afraid of the contest in the AFL. It sounds like the coaches are backing his abiility and know he can do some pretty special things but he keeps freezing. The ability is there but the heart and mind are weak

I just think he needs to play VFL, start clunking a few marks, jumping on a few heads with his athletic ability, crashing a few packs, and kick a few goals.
That will get his confidence back, and he will be back playing senior footy....

I've avoided as much social media as possible, because the negativity after a couple of losses on the back of a premiership is mind boggling. And now add in abuse/racial abuse directed at one of our players, just makes me sick.

I avoid social media, like l avoid the normal media on radio, tv etc after a loss, because of the garbage that gets spewed out. The doom and gloom narrative is just insane.
Luckily for us, we don't get attacked personally like AJ has been or other athletes after their performance on field.
I probably wouldn’t have social media if l was in their shoes....

Fly is a huge fan. They, like majority of us can, see the potential in him. He has all the athletic, mercurial nuances for the game, he just needs the confidence.
I had him down for a 30 to 35 goal season, after Moore said he was difficult to play on in the pre-season sims. That's a fair acknowledgement from one of the best defenders in the AFL.

You can see so much of it is lack of confidence. I was audibly praying for that shot to go in to give him a boost. I nearly cried for him.

I think with linking chains, the difference between them working or not is often as simple as whether the next bloke rolls up to be part of the chain or gives the defenders an extra option to cover off - which is JNs strength. So I do think individual players can have a big impact on whether we get the chains working, the forwards a better look and the defenders less to do because the ball is up the other end.

Thinking about it, I think it's whe who might be in trouble for selection next week, as I can't see what he's offered the last two weeks in terms of either transition or defensive coverage.

Anyone anywhere in the world can post a racial comment on social media. You could even get some sort of AI to do it for you. You will never stop it and there is almost no way to find the culprits. Players need to stay off social media, sad but necessary.

The thing is, if you can hear it and see the individual/s it's coming from, you need to report it there and then. So those individuals are kicked out and banned from any further attendances.
That's the way we can weed out these individuals.....

The thing with transition is it works so much better if you maintain possession. That’s where Noble’s game lets him down. Even against GWS that was obvious. Too often it’s long kicks down the line that rarely advantage a team mate.
