Even if he is not getting the ball, he could start running his opponent around. I mean players like Riewoldt, Brereton, Carey - not that he is anywhere near their levels - would at least complete 50 to 100 metre runs up & down & around the ground just to keep their opponents on their mettle. However he either is reluctant to do that and/or lacks the aerobic capacity to do so. Even repeated leading on different angles for 10 to 20 to 30 metres are clearly not part of his football portfolio. Finally, where is the word "DESPERATION" in his vocabulary? Well that will do for now but I cannot see him coming back to senior AFL football in my lifetime.I just think he needs to play VFL, start clunking a few marks, jumping on a few heads with his athletic ability, crashing a few packs, and kick a few goals.
That will get his confidence back, and he will be back playing senior footy....
