Can you see Howlett keeping his sport for 8 or so weeks? Bastinac will probably be dropped when Greenwood comes back so need another cheap bench option.

Mcveigh has to come back round 2, so someone is going to miss out,,,so i guess he only has to perform above one of the other fringe midfielders to get another go...if is plays week 2 he should get another few games i guess....

not that helps in picking your bench players...

Just wondering on Houli, have been looking thru the best 22 thread and he's on the outer. If he plays round 1 how is his job security, is there a reason he didnt play your last praccy match?

Not that I can tell, I think he is definitely in our best 22, though I think Knights may disagree with me.

Surely Knights wouldn't pick Howlett for round 1, only to drop him in round 2 for McVeigh!?

He would have to have a really bad game IMO. But you dons know better than me, do you guys agree?

we dont know the side yet and havent seen the game, so its hard to say, but someone is going to have to get dropped...it might be easier to tell friday when the proper 22 is out, but it might not..

There's been a couple of peices on Howlett this week with coaches saying how great his preseaon has been, so that's promising. I think as long as he performs reasonably well against Geelong, he should hold his spot over one of Lonergan or Hocking. Then it's up to him to keep his spot after that.

I'll be taking the risk and have him on the bench. :thumbsu:

I know this is your board and you can tell me to **** off if you feel it is necessary but none of your backs played a full season last year bar one (half not even close to a full season). I would look at getting a few safe picks in there as well.

Currently have Ryder and Kreuzer on the field... thinking of swapping one of them for big Hille and using the $$ to upgrade ziebell to higgins.

Suggestions? keep Ryder and Kreuz or go the Hille option?
Dunno if I would want 2 ess rucks in my dt, but Kreuzer looks set for a good year?

I have a question, what the **** is Zaharakis not a forward in Super Coach?

Can't fit him in the midfield and it is not like he was solely a midfielder last year.

Yeah its f**** stoopid...Zaka is more of a forward than Ziebell is (in terms of where they will actually play this season)

Zaka would've been a lock in my forward-line had he been named as a Mid/Fwd

What's the go with Dempsey - is he likely to improve on his previous scores?

Like Coopers, I am also interested in Dempsey. I am not sure if he can be consistent enough. If he ever had even a light tag, I think it could really affect him.

I am more so intrigued in Cale Hooker for this year. Like you guys have said on here he had played brilliantly this pre-season and is set for a big year. Is he likely to be aan attacking link man from defence?
Will Pears and Fletcher take the big forwards?
Thoughts on his upside and scoring for this year would be greatly appreciated.

Fletch hasn't played key back much under Knights. I don't know why that would change.
