Hey guys, i'm in of a bit conundrum. In my backline i've got Jay Nash at about 223k. Do I keep him, or go a Raines at 228k, Shoenmakers at 196k, Moore at 139k or is there another rookie i could pick that i just don't know about.

Also, with my ruckman, i've got Ottens. Who would be a better fit, either Ottens or Nic Nac Natinui.

Thoughts anyone?? Would be appreciated

I'd go Schoenmakers or Will Schofield from WCE

Ottens will be more consistent, but I have Nic Nat, hoping his value rises more, but it should happen to both players

Thoughts on Ben Howlett?

I read today that Jobe rated him highly and did a background check and he spat out some good numbers in the WAFL senoirs last year. He has had a good DT pre-season, so will he get a game? and being a rookie, can he get a game?

i find it very hard to have ottens playing in 20+games which you really need out of your rucks, you dont want to be wasting trades on them, if you can avoid it!!!

as for Nash or Raines, i havent really seen any of them in pre-season but im not sure if they are guaranteed spots in their teams, nash is probably more so than raines... We know Shoenmakers is gonig to play most of the year!!

He's been promoted to the senior list, coz Fletcher is our only vet, so he can play. Looks like he's had a good pre-season, so a definite chance

It's going to be hard picking the "right" ones...

sorry guys, probably been asked 1000 times before, i scrolled back 5 pages and saw nothing tho. How's Gumby travelling, was disappointed for the big fella when i heard he was missing the start of the nab cup. I really wanna get him in my side, i've got Dan Stewart there atm but i'd have to think Gumby would have a lot better job security. I heard reports he was close to Bog in the last trial is this true?

Gumby scored 72 in our last practice game, and Knights said he was a certainty to play round 1. Will get games, it's his scoring potential at this stage (won't be able to take multiple contested marks) and his physical state (still relatively skinny frame) that's the slight worry.

He won't get back to his 2008 form but he will still be solid. In a SC/DT sense, I'd pick him with the idea of upgrading him come finals after he makes you some cash along with you reserve rucks.

Just hoping to get some info on Hooker.

He's averaged 106 in SC over the 3 pre-season games this year and finished off last year with a couple of similar scores, despite averaging 65 on the season.

What do you think has been the change to increase his scores? I read that he was tried in the ruck a bit last year but he has now been settled into a defensive spot. What do you foresee for his season this year?

Settled defender who has gained more experience. I'd compare him to a better version of Richmond's Moore. Both solid tall defenders who can do the job but I Hooker has certainly added to his offensive repertoire.

What do people think of Stanton this year? His pre-season scores of 120 and 196 are impressive and I have him in my team ahead of Watson at the moment.

Can he do a Dane Swan and get 30 touches and 1-2 goals a game?

Yeah agree.

The only thing I'd mention is your back bench. I've heard mixed reports about whether those guys will actually get games or not so keep a close eye on that and be ready to make a switch if you have to.. You're probably already aware of this though I reckon.

It looks fine to me on paper. Nice one.
