Ah, but it makes sense as a behavioural modifier. This is how I remember it from my catholic upbringing;

1. God makes Adam from dust.
2 God makes Eve from one of Adam's spare ribs
3 God lets Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden.
4 Eve comes across a Snake one day who talks her into eating an apple from the Tree of Knowledge, which God told them never to touch. Before this Adam and Eve lived in blissful ignorance of everything
5 Eve shares an apple with Adam. They now have awareness. They're naked!
6 God says this is the Original Sin and throws the pair of them out of the Garden. Every human that came after this point is stained by this Original sin
7 The only way to 'erase' Original Sin is by joining the club. Baptism! Then staying in the club. Church!
8. Realise one thing. Join the club or be damned!

It makes sense as a Control narrative. As a non-believer though it's a crock of shit

On point 7, the only way to erase the act of the original sin, was for Yahweh to send himself as his son by impregnating a 12 year old Jewish girl named Mary(in the state of Palestine, no less), and have her give natural birth to himself as his son.
And then, through no ones want, need nor desire, offer himself/son up for human sacrifice to atone for rib woman eating a forbidden fruit(most likely fig, not apple, they weren’t prevalent in the mid east at the time), because a serpent/snake, told her to.
Thus alleviating the incestuous offspring of the Eve woman from her original mistake.
I mean, if it wasn’t so poetically absurd, it’d be just marvellous.
It’s man made and it shows, it’s always the damned woman’s fault isn’t it, how ****ing convenient for the righteous men!?

Marvelling at Creation is one thing.
Acknowledging sin in this world and its effects is another.
And accepting we all have free will is another.
And if there is no God, you explain the reasons and causes of atrocities we have seen and continue to see- you can't blame God here.

God is never wrong and God is infallible, by definition. You can argue that until you are blue in the face, but acknowledging God is God, which you do when blaming Him for what you detest, but not for His Creation is typical of your arguments.
I humbly say God is always correct. It's how you interpret what happens in life, what's written in the Bible that is error-seeking at best.

This book is astonishing and horrifying and almost surreal in some of the despicable behaviour it reveals, but on the strength of the work of the dogged, heroic campaigners found in this book, there is reason to believe that the Anglican Church is slowly changing its ways.

But FMD they have a lot to atone for. That they would presume to lecture anyone on morality is mind boggling.

200 amino acids from a pool of 20 types to be arranged in a specific order to make a viable protein that will produce a new body type. There are 20^200 possible combinations compared to a relatively small pool of arrangements that will construct viable proteins. The probability is so low as to be near zero and it has to keep happening.
