they dont really give that many extra marks
lol Bullshit, they give you your school based average which could be significantly higher than what you got in the exam.

Need 60.
Got 83.05.
Suffered from Glandular Fever during exams and opted for no special consideration because I just didn't believe in it. Now I wonder what i could have gotten with it haha.

Thanks a lot for the answer mate, its a massive help already. Im quite looking forward to next year to be honest, the scaling is probably the thing that worries me a tad. Its good to knock Lit on the head even if I was hoping for a touch more and the step down from methods to further is right up my alley, I was unable to knuckle down and work this year knowing I had the easier option waiting. I'm hoping for high 40's in English, Further should be a walk in the park to be honest, I've really enjoyed Economics this year and find that it comes quite naturally, History will probably be the real test, I've heard the exam is really make or break. We are doing the French and American Revs so anything on the French that you have would be a massive helpWell English was meant to be my close to 50 subject before I got sick. My tips for that are just keep handing essays back and making alterations, even if it is 4 or 5 times for the one essay, the teachers are your best friends.
Economics, do as many practise exams as possible, even old study design ones, concentrate on dominating the SACs as well. People say exam prep is the most important thing, but a top SAC rank will really help your cause.
History (revolutions) - I thought I did a bit better on this than I did so you might not want to take my advice, but doing a lot of practise exams will help you structure your answers correctly (it's a weird exam structure and takes a while to get used to), then put in a fair bit of time on learning obscure material so you're prepared for everything. If you're doing French or Russian rev I can send you some pretty helpful stuff.
Further - easy subject, don't get complacent with it, but if you're intelligent you're capable of absolutely dominating it.
Psych - I did this in year 11 so I can't really remember much to be quite honest, sorry about that.
I got 39 as well man. That's good as
For PE:
GA1 = Unit 3 Sacs
GA2 = Unit 4 Sacs
GA3 = Exam
I only got an A on the exam . A+ on all my Sacs.
Flunked economics big time, I've got no idea where it all went wrong. Was aiming for about 42, got 36. Couldn't believe it.
Er.. That is exactly what happened to me. Got B+ on the exam, got 36.One of my friends did the same. Thought he dominated and somehow got a B+ on the exam (when aiming for low 40s) and got 36. Was pretty disappointed for him
Definitely believable that all those who posted their ATAR's in this thread got 80+.....
When does the Herald Sun publish the names of the students who got above 40?
Is your teacher allowed to do that?Well English was meant to be my close to 50 subject before I got sick. My tips for that are just keep handing essays back and making alterations, even if it is 4 or 5 times for the one essay, the teachers are your best friends.
Is your teacher allowed to do that?
Suggestions of course, but correction?Your teachers don't make suggestions for improvement of the piece?
