BRAZILIAN Roberto Felicio has secured a main draw spot at Roland Garos, with a straight sets win over Spanish up-and-comer Jose Rodriguez in the final of the French Challenger. The traditional lead-up event saw both regens put in impressive performances throughout the tournament and will continue to rise up the rankings later in the season.

SHARPLES POWERS INTO TOP 10 WITH COMMANDING WIN

BRITISH young gun Dom Sharples continues to go from strength to strength taking out the Mercedes Cup and landing a top 10 spot in the process. He looked in control for most of his match against Japan's Kei Nishikori, winning the first set 6-2 and having match points at 5-3 before the world number seven hit back to win the tirebreaker 9-7 and level the scores. That only inspired Sharples to go harder, running out a 6-0 winner in the deciding set to jump from 12th to 10th, albeit by just two points. It was also his sixth title this year and his first in the lead-up to Wimbledon, his home grand slam.
