This makes the AFL look like nice guys in comparison.

Butler has to go for allowing this on his watch.

One leak, one bloody leak, and SA's reputation for fresh quality food is Chernobyled.
What is the point of defending this country when our own politicians are attacking it from the inside?

All's I can think of is mutant Ken.
This isn't a joke mate, this is Maralinga'ing the homeland.

It's like opening the doors to your home each weekend and putting a big sign out the front saying:
"Feel free to come in and shit on my carpet"

Yes I know everyone will work very hard to be careful, but one leak (you know cos humans are human) and the perception and possibly the reality is that area is fkd.

Vote green for Hindmarsh in the Federal election or lube up.

Got to look at the positives here.

Having 3 eyed Dolphin's swimming around in the Port River will be a major tourist attraction.

It's not like they're going to be tossing it in the a local recycling bin.

Given the amount of uranium we have and are happy to export, it makes all the sense in the world to build a proper disposal facility in the middle of nowhere — and make money hand over fist storing most of the world’s waste.

Instead it’ll remain a hysteria issue and we’ll continue to store low-level waste in places that are unfit for purpose (ie hospital and university basements), and now this military waste in metro Adelaide.

Eugh, as if AUKUS wasn’t bad enough. Is there any reason why this is being stored in close proximity to a city? Surely the risk of fallout outweighs the positives of it being a bit easier to access? Is climate the issue?

LOL. The conversations I've had here in Port Augusta over the proposed waste dump would melt your mind.

It could have been stored at a proper, well-maintained, and high security storage facility up north, but the greens had to go about spreading misinformation and scare stories to the local indigenous population up there to get them to oppose it.

Voting for the greens isn't going to solve the issue, it's going to make sure the issue remains unresolved ad nauseam.
