Swiatek in all sorts of trouble against Gauff. Just managing to hold her serve. Gauff has definitely improved in all areas of her game. Good move in changing coaches. It looks like Gauff has worked out how to play Swiatek. Even Sabalenka is in trouble against her opponent. Iga needs to relax. I'm really liking Swiatek without her psychologist for this event.

Big chance for our junior world no.1 Emerson Jones to pick up her first ever WTA Tour win in Adelaide tomorrow morning when she faces Chinese qualifier Xinyu Wang. Real chance to make strides with her ranking and build some momentum before the AO if she can pick up a win or two this week.

Yes agreed but I watched Wang today and she was very good, hitting winners galore. Will be a tough match, I would back Wang for sure.

Swiatek's injury happened perhaps against GB. Gauff has worked out how to play Iga and Iga is not happy. Hopefully her new coach can help her out. Plus she wanted it too much and her anxiety and nerves kicked in. The one thing I like about the Polish team is Nicolas Massur loving him on the bench and being involved and the female junior player who has being encouraging Iga throughout her match.
