Kurtis no chance of a medal here IMO. Many of the others are just far too classy.

Agreed. Can you imagine the stress and psychological pressure to perform at this level… I don’t care how amazing you may be technically, if you can’t conquer your emotional and mental state at this level, you won’t necessarily get the goodies.Even if we stay at 18 gold and 43 total, it's still a successful games.
You cannot have an Olympics with every individual and team performing to predictions, there is no such thing as a sure bet for gold or medals. So what if the Boomers and hockey teams missed out, there's always bound to be slight disappointment. We also benefit from unexpected golds and medals too.
The only real concern is rowing where I think there were 11 ranked in the top handful of their event but we emerged with nothing.
The Chinese divers are a work of art, whilst I have small issues in other sports you can only appreciate how good they are at diving
They are like diving robots and they very rarely malfunction, they are both battling it out for gold and silver then daylight third.
It’s a surprise when they don’t quinella it
Matthew Mitcham winning gold in Beijing is Australia's finest moment ever in an Olympics pool.
Fight me.
Very close to it shows how hard they are to beat lol took a perfect 10 dive for the Chinese to lose
If I remember correctly, the Chinese had already won every gold up to that event in diving, and many of them as a 1-2.
Yeah yeah, Kieran Perkins winning from lane 8 in Atlanta is great and all but Mitcham doing that on hostile territory in a sport with subjective judges is remarkable.

She said she slipped on the board and it affected her preparationDid anyone see the women’s semi final diving? I can’t believe that woman got 0 but she did land on her back but that would have to go down as the worse dive in an Olympic Final ever she tried to get another dive but they rejected her request.

Yeah I know, it must of been minor though bc they showed replay in slow-mo and I couldn’t see it but doesn’t mean I don’t believe her…She said she slipped on the board and it affected her preparation
She made a big splash
Okay fair enough..all sports have a risk of injury or failure…sometimes it doesn’t always work out which is bad luck…though when it works out it’s great too. That’s what makes sport interesting at the end of the day I guess…Been a few of those in the past. Been a few where they hit their head on the board as they come down. Part of the risk-reward you have to go so close to get the twists and flips in
There isn't any disappointment, didn't you hear?? They bombed out as expected because their programs have badly regressed per ongoing reports/results. Happy times! So what if the Boomers and hockey teams missed out, there's always bound to be slight disappointment.
I know this is a joke but Australia has the strongest competitive LaserTag scene in the world.Modern Pentathlon should start changing up
Drone racing and shooting down a target
Drop and Give me 20 race
Endurance section where you have to sit alone in a room staring at a tv screen with only a bag of chips and a can of diet coke
Laser Tag
