Wondered that myself, guess it depends on how long they keep footage ? Hers is from day she checked out, 12th April ? Maybe Angelo / Tom favours that hotel for mules for a reason.

The desk clerk said they have kept footage from a day or two after check in...she said

Tom or Angelo. Ok. That helps
Yeah, he really befriended her!
She says he took her all over the place for a week yet the receptionist says she spent most of the time in her room and not one selfie or photo of Tom/Angelo/the tooth fairy.

I admit I haven't actually read much on the case, but what would finding "Tom/Angelo" actually gain her given it was still in her luggage?

He might admit he placed the drugs in her luggage, he might still have the receipt for the original purchase from 'Honest Andre's House O'Drugs', and he might be an noble soul, who was charmed by the exotic lass from the steamy Yorketown.

Or not.

Now-deleted posts on Ms Sainsbury’s Instagram account showed she travelled on “all expenses paid work trips” around the world, and just days before she was picked up in Bogota, she posted on social media in the United States following recent updates on her travels to China, Canada and Vanuatu.

Well the all expenses trip would have been paid for by the person in Hong Kong who bought the ticket for her, and who most likely would have been the recipient of the "headphones" on her way around the world.

On one trip I had my bag searched at every airport because my magic wand and some pH leveling salts in my bag showed up funny on their scanner.

The Americas are intense, not sure why you would risk it.

Magic wand = harry potter. Not harry met sally

"leveling salts", yes. I had some "levelling salts" recently too.

Her lawyer is making some odd comments, the latest:

Mr Herran said Cassie had told him she didn’t like the Colombian man, known only as Angelo, when she first met him shortly after arriving in Bogata.
“She met him around the hotel where she was staying, in the first few days when she arrived here,” Herran says.

“She said that the first day she didn’t trust him, the second day a little bit more, the third day she trusted him, because he seemed very friendly.
“She said this guy was very friendly, he spoke English and Spanish.

“He helped with everything, with translation, he showed her around.

She thought she had made a good friend.”

Hotelier Ingrid Hernandez, who recalls Cassie and her only visitor — the well dressed, dark skinned Angelo — said he had visited her several times during her stay in the $40 a night room 601.

I'd see a doctor about that

I must have packed my bag after gardening as I had a lengthy discussion with Customs about weeds and grass in my suitcase. Harrowing, you think of all the idiotic circumstances people can be banged up for and its because I chose to pack a bag after doing some garden work.

No surprise, I was waiting for the family to sell their story. That's so wrong.

Looks like 60 minutes will help the family fly to Colombia. Expenses paid?

Maybe they're going to try and smuggle her out of jail. Is Tara Brown involved again?

This is the stupidest story ever. Honestly its almost unbelievable how stupid she could be. Look at that packaging?! Doesn't even look like headphones, all different sizes and who actually wraps headphones in black plastic.

The worst story i have ever heard.

How did she make it through security though? Seems strange is wasn't found on basic X ray.

I've thought about that over and over again and as I've stated in previous posts just getting to the bag check in without being sniffed out is a challenging task out of this country.

I reakon they let her through all this way because I think they do that with most smugglers going out....nab them as they are boarding-it makes the case stronger. If they get them anytime before perhaps they can argue I wasn't going anywhere and get a good lawyer to get a possession charge etc...someone may be able to chime in on this.

Yeah true. Like you said makes the case stronger. Otherwise they can always argue they were seeing off a friend or werent actually going to commit the crime. Bags would have to be onboard the plane im guessing as well?!
